We had the good fortune of connecting with Addison Lindsey and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Addison, what do you attribute your success to?
The success of my brand comes down to four key factors: proper education, true passion, relentless determination, and a strong support system.

I studied Interior Design in college, but my education didn’t stop there. I’m constantly taking classes, reading books, asking questions, and connecting with others in the industry. There’s always more to learn, and I believe that staying ahead means always being a student.

My passion for interior design has been with me for as long as I can remember. When I was in second grade, my parents bought a new-build home that was nothing but studs and concrete. I was fascinated by the process and knew, even then, that this was what I wanted to do. From rearranging my bedroom at midnight to binge-watching HGTV, that passion grew into a career.

But passion alone isn’t enough—it takes work. I spend countless hours behind the scenes, building a brand that stands out. I focus on creating a niche, ensuring that my designs, my talent, and my business have a unique place in the industry.

And I couldn’t do it without my support system. My husband is my backbone, always reminding me why I started. Being a business owner means wearing many hats, and it can feel overwhelming at times. But he never lets me throw in the towel. He tells me that if I don’t build my own dream, I’ll end up building someone else’s—and that when the bar feels out of reach, it’s only because I keep raising it. That perspective keeps me pushing forward.

Success isn’t about luck—it’s about passion, persistence, and the people who believe in you.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets me apart in the interior design industry is my commitment to creating spaces that are not only beautiful but also deeply intentional. I don’t just design—I curate experiences that blend functionality with aesthetics, ensuring that every space tells a story. One of my signatures is balancing masculine and feminine energy in my designs, creating a perfect harmony of strength and softness, boldness and elegance. My focus on collaboration with builders and general contractors allows me to streamline the process, making projects run smoothly while delivering standout designs.

I’m incredibly proud of how far I’ve come, and I get excited every time I see my work come to life. Turning a passion into a business is a dream come true, but the journey hasn’t been easy.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that success isn’t about waiting for the perfect moment—it’s about creating it. Growth comes from taking risks, learning from failures, and constantly evolving. I’ve also learned that branding is everything. It’s not just about talent; it’s about creating something that people connect with and want to be part of.

What I want the world to know is that Addison Lindsey Interiors is more than just a design firm—it’s a brand built on passion, hard work, and a vision for creating homes that stand out. Through hands-on collaboration with builders and clients, I’m here to bring fresh, thoughtful designs to the industry. And I’m just getting started.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I grew up in the Dallas-Fort Worth area but spent a few years living in Washington, D.C. before moving back, and wow—DFW has grown so much! There are so many incredible places to check out, but if my best friend was visiting, I’d make sure they got the full experience of everything that makes this area unique.
Since most of my interior design projects have been in the heart of Fort Worth, I’d start the trip downtown. I’d suggest a stroll through Sundance Square to soak in the energy of the city. You can’t visit Fort Worth without experiencing The Stockyards. It’s the definition of Texas charm and history. To mix it up, we’d head over to Dallas for a day of art, architecture, and shopping. We’d visit the Dallas Museum of Art as it took my breath away when I went last.
DFW is such a mix of modern, historic, and Texas-style charm—it’s always fun to show people just how much it has to offer!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I wouldn’t be where I am today without the incredible support, education, and experiences that have shaped my journey.

To my husband, Matt—thank you for being my rock, my biggest cheerleader, and my constant source of motivation. Your belief in me, even on the hardest days, keeps me pushing forward. When I doubt myself, you remind me why I started. When I feel like the goal is too far away, you remind me that I’m just raising the bar. I couldn’t do this without you.

To my college, Stephen F. Austin State University- where my passion for design was refined into a skillset and career—thank you for the knowledge, the challenges, and the foundation that allowed me to turn my love for design into a business. Education doesn’t stop in the classroom, but the start I received there was invaluable.

To every job I’ve had along the way—each role, each project, and each lesson learned has played a part in my growth. From hands-on experience to understanding the ins and outs of the industry, every step has led me to this moment. I’m grateful for every opportunity that pushed me, shaped me, and taught me something new.

Success isn’t a solo journey, and I’m beyond thankful for the people and experiences that have helped pave the way.
