We had the good fortune of connecting with Abrea Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Abrea, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I decided to pursue a creative career for multiple reasons. I enjoy entertaining, making people laugh and making them feel good. I am a firm believer that no matter how much people forget, they will never forget how you make them feel. Second, I’m passionate about helping individuals and seeing their strides toward their goals. #FreeGameWithAbrea pushes me out of my comfort zone and requires me to be vulnerable in ways that I never imagined. #FreeGameWithAbrea isn’t only for me—it’s for the people.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I currently work as a Registered Behavioral Technician— providing therapy to children with autism. I’m most proud of the progress that my clients make because of my hard work and dedication. I care about them deeply and seeing the joy on their faces when we make eye contact each morning is heartwarming—to say the least. My job is nowhere near easy and I overcome challenges because there’s just something that’s inside of me and that’s resilience. I am a resilient woman who continues to put one foot in front of the other despite the challenges that I face. While being in this position, I have learned that everyone’s story is uniquely different and that I have a lot more patience than I once thought I had. I want the world to know that although where I’m at now isn’t where I will be in the future, #FreeGameWithAbrea will change lives. I want my brand to remind people that “It may not look like it right now but _______ is for me.” This phrase is a constant reminder that current circumstances aren’t final destinations and I wan’t everyone under my influence to hold on to what they’ve been promised despite what life has thrown their way.

Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
A seven day getaway with my bestfriend(s) is something that is LONG overdue. When I envision my makeshift itinerary, there’s a lot of relaxing taking place. I’m a pretty laid back person so I’d host a game night in the heart of the city because we’re all big kids at heart. When it comes to activities, we’d Sunday Funday but during the week. Mimosas and Tequila Sunrises by day meanwhile Margaritas and Wine by night. We all enjoy dope, eye catching aesthetics so taking turns posing in front of an aesthetically pleasing building is pretty accurate. We’d even fade Klyde Warren just to unwind, have a picnic and ride scooters. A Friday night on the town is moreso us finding a place with live music and good food such as FreeMan’s then having dance battles in the living room of the AirBnB we rented out. [laugh out loud]

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d honestly like to give major shoutouts man. I’d like to thank The Most High, Yahuah for revealing my purpose to me. Second, I’d like to thank my good sis, Kiah Chism for the constructive criticism, mentorship, advice and the initial, premature conversation that was had back in 2017 about YouTube. My parents also deserve a round of applause. My mom has done a good job helping me look at the business side of my brand and my dad may as well be a silent partner by the way he offers up ideas. I can’t thank you guys enough for the help, kind words, love and support as I have been embarking on this journey.
