We had the good fortune of connecting with Abby Pfaff and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Abby, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I started my business my junior year of high school simply because I love photographing people. It has been quite the journey as I continued my business through college, through the pandemic, to now. My mission is to empower people to feel confident and excited in front of the camera. Many people shy away from professional photography or rely solely on their cell phones to document their lives. I believe in the importance of creating high-quality images that will stand the test of time and be cherished for generations to come.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am deeply committed to each of my clients and prioritize making them feel valued and special throughout every step of the process. No two photoshoots with me are ever the same. I take great care in customizing each session to reflect the unique personality of my clients. My primary goals are to ensure that my clients feel excited and confident while providing them with images that they will be proud to show off.

I have been perfecting my process for over a decade and it was definitely not easy! Juggling my growing business through college and COVID was difficult, but I feel like I am finally at the other side and I am truly coming into myself as an artist and business owner.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take my friend to some of my favorite places to eat like Maggie’s R&R, Szechuan, Pizza Verde and Cafe Bella. On Saturday morning I would take them to the Clearfork Community Market and walk along the trail, then have brunch at Press Cafe. I would end the trip with a night at Coyote Drive In!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d love to shoutout Christine Coleman and John Skees for giving me the knowledge and foundation needed to build my business and for continuing to support me in all areas of life.
