We had the good fortune of connecting with Aaron Carolina and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aaron, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I think that risk is definitely always something you have to weigh in. I mean like the saying goes “ no reward without risk.” Everything isn’t meant for everyone and I think me taking the risk to pursue my career is the very thing that helped prepared me to handle the highs and lows of this industry. Vulnerability is essentially what acting is all about. Giving your all and putting yourself out there to be judged by others. That’s a risk most would shy away from every single time, but I like others have chosen to run towards it. And God has blessed me for having the faith that my risks will eventually be rewarded by doing just that. I would never know what it is like to do what I love for a living had I not taken that risk.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am an artist who has chose to express myself as an actor and I have been doing so for about 10 years now. The road hasn’t always been easy, but it had definitely been one worth taking. Years ago I was apart of the group, GS Boys, that made the song Stanky Leg. So whether I was singing, dancing, or making other laugh, entertaining was always going to be the end goal for me. I have had to battle countless obstacles such as homelessness and a kidney disease for some examples to get to this point in my life. I am honored to be someone that others look up to and feel comfortable asking questions about getting started in this industry. Super excited for things to come later on this year. I have had the pleasure to work on some decent projects this year! Some having big names attached to them, recurring roles, and also just new roles in general that I haven’t had the pleasure of praying before.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I have always been a season pass holder for six flags so going there is a must.

We have to find some excuse to make it to the AT&T stadium and Arlington Live because that place is just amazing! Then there’s this dope spot in Dallas called Soirée, during the week the coffee and baked goods are great, but on the weekends they have brunch and the food is just ridiculous! It’s always a good night on time when headed towards Deep Ellum or uptown so you can’t go wrong with that either.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost I want to thank my lord and savior, Jesus Christ. For had it not been for his grace and mercy I would not be in the position that I am in today. Then I would like to thank my late mother, Phyllis Carolina, for raising me to be the man that I am today. Without me even knowing it she shaped, molded and prepared me for the obstacles I face on a daily basis. My beautiful mother recently passed from cancer in December 2021. And the strength and love she demonstrated during her last week on this earth have fueled me in ways unimaginable. It is because of her that I am able to go forward with my head high and continue to be a testimony of perseverance to others.
