We had the good fortune of connecting with Aaron Baird and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Aaron, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I was in a nine to five job and I started meditating and noticed a stronger connection to my inner voice. At one point my heart said “Pursue the art”. From that point I’ve been following signs from the universe and doing what I can to follow my hearts calling. I didn’t receive a manual on how to do it, but each step taken has always been met with an unfoldment of reassurance.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I only work on my art when I’m in a high vibrational/flow state, because I see my art as elevating emotionally, physically, and spiritually. If you are aware of it or not when you interact with art you are interacting with the emotional state of the point of creation, and through entrainment it can have a effect on your state. I also channel energies into my art as a vessel of the divine, the most powerful thing I can do as an artist is get out of the way and flow with what wants to come through at that moment. For the past three years I’ve been getting poems with the art, to me they are jumping off points to connect deeper with the art. The poems also help remove blockages and assist in elevating the viewer. For me the greatest compliment I receive is when people are moved to tears from the art. I would like the world to know that art is one of our greatest treasures, and the deeper it moves us the closer we are to our true self.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Go to an ecstatic dance event to move and loosen up. A cacao ceremony with ceremonial cacao. One food stop would be my personal favorite a fried avocado taco, from Torchy’s Tacos. Weekend activity would be to catch a Four Day Weekend improv show in Fort Worth, the cast is so spontaneous and in the flow, it’s something not to miss.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shoutout goes to my best friend Ana Noyce. She is always there to support me when I need it, and we are on similar paths assisting others in raising consciousness. My method is with visual arts, and hers is through workshops and classes to help bring people into the Aquarian age.
