Meet Aanchal Gupta | PankyDoodle OWNER/ PANCAKE ARTIST

We had the good fortune of connecting with Aanchal Gupta and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aanchal, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
As a mother, its a proud moment when I see my kids get excited about FOOD. I had been making some or the other fancy shaped pancakes for my kids for the last 6 years, During the pandemic, I realized that it was a great way to make other kids feel special and bring a bright moment to their day. When everything else was locked down and there was no way to celebrate. Being able to see a happy face and smile, through food was my greatest calling. When I started receiving pictures and reviews of kids smiling ear to ear- seeing their latest character crush come to life- that gave me and my business a PURPOSE.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
All modesty, I was really good at tracing an image from an early age. So recreating an image came naturally to me. I have a very creative mindset that allows me to channel color theories and catch the finest details in an image. What sets PANKYdoodle apart is the amount of variety and customization we can offer. I wanted to make sure, PANKYdoodle can include all dietary restrictions(vegan, keto, paleo, gluten free, eggless) and no kid feels left out. Just as the name suggests- it is a DOODLE on a PANCAKE!
I am most excited about trying new techniques and areas in the pancake paradigm.- we’ve been asked to create celebrities’, turn a photograph into a pancake or even write secret messages on it- so basically the pancake becomes a blank canvas.

Balancing it all is the toughest part of my journey. I am a realtor during day and a pancake artist 24/7. Having the family support is a blessing. I am human, so I have some battles that I proudly loose too. But, the satisfaction and the urge to grow is too strong. There is no stopping me or my brand.
The day pancake art becomes synonymous with PANKYdoodle, that is the day I will congratulate myself.
I would love the world to know that its never too late to realize and work towards a dream. I have sleepless nights, thinking about new areas and spheres to grow.
We are taking pancake art and bringing it as a LIVE show, where kids, adults can order on- demand pancakes and even try their hands at making one. So every birthday party needs to have a pancake show- ART you can EAT- does it get any better ?

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Dallas is a mecca for shopping and food lovers. Its not scenic or picturesque, but when it comes to a global diversity of flavors and name brands- Dallas has it all. If my friend were visiting for a week, I would visit all the gems Dallas metroplex has to offer.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My biggest strength and credit of my success goes to my family first, my friends and last but not least the awesome community of DALLAS TX , that accepted and welcomed my unique idea with open arms. Pancake art is a very new concept and the way the community showed their love and poured in their orders and accolades, was surprising for a home maker like me. It gave me all the push and strength I needed to keep going and working hard at it. The character requests that started coming in, got more and more detailed and I kept pushing the art. So, I am extremely thankful for the love of all the parents and families that gave PANKYdoodle the opportunity to bring SMILES to their doorstep.

I quickly understood that my business had transitioned from a food delivery service to a way of celebration and joy- birthdays, anniversary, drive thru birthday gifts, sleepover mornings- you name it.
