We had the good fortune of connecting with Luna Danvers and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Luna, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
There might be times when you put your whole heart and soul into something, and it is met with cynicism or skepticism, but you can’t let that crush you. You have to let that fuel you because we live in a world where anyone has the right to say anything that they want about you at any time, but just please remember that you have the right to prove them wrong” – Taylor Swift
“‘no’ is a full sentence” – Elizabeth Olsen.
The quote from Taylor Swift emphasizes the importance of not letting negative criticism or skepticism discourage you from pursuing your goals. It can be easy to get discouraged when others doubt your abilities or intentions, but instead of letting it crush you, it is important to use it as motivation to prove them wrong. This is a valuable lesson in resilience and determination and reminds us that we have the power to overcome obstacles and achieve success, even when faced with opposition.
The quote from Elizabeth Olsen, ‘no’ is a full sentence, reminds us that we do not always have to explain or justify our decisions to others. It can be tempting to try to please everyone and say yes to everything, but it is important to set boundaries and prioritize our needs and goals. This quote is a reminder that it is okay to say no, without feeling guilty or needing to explain.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Alright, let’s jump right in! I want to dedicate this shoutout to the incredible people who have played a role in my success and journey. First and foremost, I want to thank my amazing siblings, Percy and Brandon, who have been my rocks through thick and thin. And last but not least, I want to thank my dear friends Tom and Haley. They have been with me through it all, listening to my dramas and giving me invaluable advice and support. I couldn’t have made it this far without them. Of course, many others have helped me along the way, and they know who they are. To everyone who has supported, mentored, loved, and encouraged me, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your impact on my life has been immeasurable, and I am forever grateful.
