We had the good fortune of connecting with Misty Vigil and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Misty, other than deciding to work for yourself, what was the single most important decision you made that contributed to your success?
To know that even though I’m scared and don’t know if I’ll be successful or fail, that this is all part of accomplishing anything great! And the only way to improve is to make mistakes and take risks.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Starting something new is never usually easy. And to take something you love and share it with the world not knowing how they will receive it all is scary at first because you don’t know if they’ll love it too. One thing I’ve realized tho along this journey, is that not everyone will love what you do or offer to the world, but there will be many however who absolutely will. So it’s ok if you fail sometimes. Other times you will succeed and never giving up is the actual key factor.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
When weather allows, etiwanda preserves is a great hour long hike trail, lines with white sage that leads up to a waterfall where you will see the little lavender butterflies during spring and summer months. Just beautiful. Following, I like to go to salt oasis, the Himalayan Salt Spa to relax in the oxygen chair, recuperate and rejuvenate. From there Victoria Gardens is only a 5min drive to grab some lunch or Mama Por Dios for a fancy cocktail.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Growing up I was surrounded by absolutely strong independent women who no matter how hard things might have become, they just never gave up! So Shoutout to My grandmothers and Mother for Instilling that strength into everything that I am. Recently Over the years I’ve also followed the success of Ashley Horner, who has been a mentor through life sharing and she doesn’t even know it, we’ve never spoke nor met yet.
