We had the good fortune of connecting with Pastor JT Maberry and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Pastor JT, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I’m from Ft. Worth Texas. I believe my up bringing and background has played a enormous impact in who I am. I’m the Grandson of the Late Pastor Dever L. Barrett who was a pillar in the community. He founded The East Cleburne Community Center in Cleburne, Texas. In which they have a scholarship award given to the selected students in Cleburne. The son of the Late Pastor Jerome T. Maberry in which served as treasurer for the Saint John Landmark District of the Baptist Convention. He was as a Entrepreneur. Carpenter, photographer, among a few gifts and talents that I was blessed to have myself.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Ministry is the motivation behind everything I do. The Photography, videography, graphics Design, marketing, music production , and even the travel agent business we have all stems from ministry. Everything has its place in the ministry. I don’t do anything without a ministry driven purpose.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’d say the Stockyards or Somewhere near the Cultural District. I love history ! There’s several historical landmarks in Ft. Worth that many don’t know exists. The Black Historian experience at Kimball Museum is dope! You should definitely check that out

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
No one deserves a shoutout more than my wife. Lady Fenita R. Maberry has been my favorite person in the world since we got married! We do everything together, music, ministry, laugh, dance, sing, teach or preach. Whatever it is, wherever one is you’ll see the other. Match made in heaven. She’s phenomenal and you’ll hear a lot from her soon. Her debut album is to be released in the next few months. In which I am the Executive Producer and Co-Writer of a few songs on it.
