We had the good fortune of connecting with Tyler Adams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tyler, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Back in 2016 I was going through a lot far as depression, I gained over 100lbs, being lost & confused, dealing with a terrible sickness (that couldn’t be identified other than being compared to endometriosis) and lack of self love. I realize I was in a dark place, I didn’t care about nothing but drinking, smoking, I wanted to get out of being stuck and feeling shitty, so I started to show myself love. Once I started doing so I noticed how my confidence started building up, I started talking, walking, and just all out moving different. So I thought to myself somebody out there is going through what you went through and they need some help, someone to show them the way out of darkness and into their light, so this is my way of showing my people the right way of how to treat yourself, how to love yourself, and how to take care of yourself.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I love what I do and do what I love and that’s helping others. Making my products brings me so much peace, I don’t let anyone come over when it comes to making products, I have a whole cleansing ritual I do prior to making everything. I have everything you need for your hair, body, face, pain relief and recently launched my herbal tea blends! Everything is made from scratch with love and is 100%chemical free!

I think I’m most proud of myself for putting myself back into school, I am currently in school to be an aesthetician only have a couple more hours left and then I’ll be a licensed aesthetician although I do have my own in-home spa set up where you can come receive an intuitive facial. I offer many services from head to toe such as hair & scalp treatments, braids, locs, facials, vajicals, waxing, etc.

Moving to a whole new state by myself, starting everything from scratch and launching a business, definitely came with some challenges, some trial and errors, but I always say in life we are tested daily and how answer/response to life’s test is how we will be rewarded, so staying positive and having faith that everything is going to work out how it’s supposed to.

I want the world to know it starts with loving yourself!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would honestly try to go to every black on spot in DFW area lol

So if my friend was in town I will start by taking them to a park and just relax enjoy in nature.

Before anything gotta get some green juice from and crystals from Wizard Waves
Moetivate Yo Womb for a yoni steam, the energy in Moe’s shop is so beautiful and peaceful!

Having a nice lunch/dinner creative eats with CCXV&co
Slide over to Pan Africa to get some books and feel the drums playing.
Get some good ass vegan food, from Vegan Vibration, House of Vegan, ( I would go to every single vegan chef I know of everyday lol)
No doubt im taking them to traders village I love that place!

Everyone that I came in contact with over the years has help me to be where I am today! Whether they did me wrong or did right by me either way I’m so grateful for everyone.
