We had the good fortune of connecting with CashOutJony and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi CashOutJony, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I wanted to do something that didn’t feel like a job to me. Something that I could enjoy doing for the rest of my life. I was never the type to want to work for other people so it had to be something that could last me and get me where I want to be ultimately.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I started out drawing and playing the piano when I was 4 years old. I’ve always been in tune with the arts of all kinds. Overtime, my skill, determination, and understanding of art drove me to want more out of it. When I was 11 I made my first song on a HP laptop with one of my brothers. Back then I didn’t look at music as something I would take serious, just one of those things I did for fun like drawing or playing instruments. I wanted to play basketball but that dream faded away when I got to 8th grade and got cut for the first time ever. I went on to run track and play a little ball in high school but it didn’t get me anywhere. Around the time my senior year of high school was ending, I was pretty much knowing that I didn’t want to work a regular job or go to college for more years. I hated school. So I decided to start producing, making beats on the iPad that the school gave us. Once I graduated I decided that summer that I would start to make music again. It was something I was familiar with and I also knew I could make a career out of. At first I had a little bit of support, like 500 plays on soundcloud in a day. I didn’t really know what that meant but apparently that was pretty good. So then I just ran with it. That whole summer and rest of the year I ended up with 14K plays total from maybe about 10 songs. A year later I ended up with 155K and a year after that it was more than a million. I was just staying consistent and trying to find my sound along the way. I feel like I’ve always been a different individual, I never really fit in places so I feel like none of the things I’ve done or going to do are easy. The way I look at everything is completely different than the average human. I think 5th dimensionally about everything so I just do what I want and let things play out how they’re supposed to. You can’t expect everything to go your way. You can’t trust everybody, they’re not all your friend. Watch who you surround yourself with. I have a great mindset and I’m around great people so my potential is limitless.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost I have to give thanks to our Great Creator. And then I would extend those thanks to my father and both of my mothers and all my grandparents. The love has been unconditional and the lessons have been enlightening. My brothers, sisters, and closest friends for having the faith in me to become who I am and who I’ll become. CCB.
