We had the good fortune of connecting with Jordan Reed and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jordan, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
Outsiders are most definitely unaware of the Artist having to simultaneously fulfill several roles to get themselves off the ground. I mix and master my music, used to create Cover art, Pitched and Promoted music, created hyperlinks to my music, constantly update socials with content, etc. It sounds like a lot, but if you really want whatever success you desire, you wouldn’t have second thoughts about it. My Advice; create a team.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I started out making music at age 12, only getting serious throughout High School. I would use loops to make music on Audiotool. My creative endeavor was always about not making the same music, and so I’ve gone from Trap Beats, to my own brand of Jazz and funk influenced work. FL studio is what truly made my creative ability open up. I began to experiment with the piano in Highschool as well. I got very good very fast, almost as if I understood the instrument before I touched it. But this also gave me trouble as I started other endeavors, because I would be irritated if I didn’t see quick results. I was mixing and mastering as soon as I opened FL Studio, because that is what would make or break the music I made. It was always a loudness war for me, I just wanted everything to slap as hard as it could, which now is simply the standard.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The Best Time ever? They’re going to the Cheesesteak House to experience fine dining, then we’re heading to Pinstax for a mildly good start to a crazy week. We went super hard there and our Crypto portfolio doubled over night. We take our profit and hit the Galleria and buy absolutely nothing other than Auntie Anne’s Pretzel Bites and leave never to return there again. Hit the homies and tell them we’re hosting a Paintball Exhibition at GatSplat, and that is where we blow our Crypto the entire day. Then we hit the Pho Que Huong for the Goods, and smash out at the Mitsuwa next to it. Me and the homie wake up and we’re like, “damn I really want to see a lot of furniture in the same place” next thing you know we at the damn Nebraska Furniture Mart. We cop a futon each and end his trip at the SuperChix.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shoutout to my Bonsai Collective Family, and shoutout my Older Brother! Would not be in the same space at all without them>
