Meet Rodney Mcneil | Author and Creator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Rodney Mcneil and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rodney, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I’m just one of those imaginative thinkers, I have an influx of creative ideas that I need to get out of my head. I already had a passion to create literary and visual art, so it only made sense to pursue creative business ventures of my own.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Along with Montoya McNeil CEO and creative partner, we share in a creative business venture, Visi-ON Have One. Under Visi-ON we launch creative works: literary & visuals, we launch campaigns, and event planning/decor. Visi-ON is a multi-faceted platform for creativity first sparked by vision. Our goal is to push creative boundaries with each project and bring visions to life.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
There are a plethora of places on West 7th to eat, drink, and be entertained. Velvet Taco, Salsa Limon, The Burger Bar and Funky Town Donuts are a few good places to eat and drink. Top Golf, Movie Tavern and the surrounding areas have Texas Motor Speedway, At&t Stadium and various shopping centers (malls).

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I like to give a shout out to Montoya McNeil, not only a creative partner but an avid supporter of my dreams and goals. She was the one to give me the push to put my creative work out and encouraged me to believe in myself. She also put her time and effort into my first book as an editor. She continues to be whatever I need, in this creative pursuit.
