We had the good fortune of connecting with Megan Shudark and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Megan, what’s your definition for success?
When I first started in my industry, I thought success was defined by the amount of success I created for myself, the amount of wealth I had created for myself, and the luxury items that I possessed from success. However, after reaching a financial success point for myself and my family, I started reflecting on myself and my mindset about success. I don’t think success can be measured my a dollar amount, or the amount of material items possessed, but by the number of lives you have helped changed, the number of lives that you have helped become successful. That to me is true success, how many clients lives have I enriched by offering solutions, how many families lives have I changed by providing an alternate opportunity for financial relief and time freedom, that is how I measure sucess.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I embarked on my journey 3 years ago not knowing what I was getting into, I was getting into a brand new industry that no one had heard of yet, that was not mainstream, and had a very unpopular favor to it. I was worried about getting my name and brand tied up into something that was not yet excepted widely, however I saw a vision in the industry and saw where it could expand and lead so I decided to invest myself into it. It was not easy at first, it was very challenging for the first year, as I had to do a lot of industry education, plant education, and share with the world what we had was not a drug nor illegal, and doing a lot of self education along the way. I learned that taking an education approach instead of a sales approach made a world of difference, far to many people out there were and are seeking my products but afraid to approach, or afraid of judgement, or afraid of the unknown and unasked questions. Instead of approaching for a sale, I approach with a solution to their questions, their worries, and show them the education, science and proof behind the new industry. I want people to know that my brand Successfully Unemployed was created because there is another option, there is another solution to careers and professionals, it’s not always an office, there are other options to be successful, and my true success is measured by the thousands of lives I have helped reach success through that brand.

Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
I live right in the middle and heart of North Texas, equal distance between Dallas and Fort Worth. I would plan a day in Dallas, heading for a spa day at the magical Mermaid Sealon for pampering, then head to local Dallas boutiques for shopping, and wrap it up with lunch I really enjoy FlowerChild with a certain health conscious group of friends or The Biscuit Bar with another crowd. In Fort Worth, I would start the day in the Stock Yards Station, visiting all the local shops and boutiques, I would also plan the day around 11am or 4pm so they could experience the cattle drive down the center of Fort Worth, I would plan lunch/ dinner at Cattlemans, H3, or Riskys BBQ depending on the attire and the day. Drinks at the White Elephant Saloon, maybe even a tour of the haunted Stockyards Hotel.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have had a lot of mentors in different areas of my growth in life. For business and mindset I would say Jenna & Josh Zwagil have helped me with expanding my mindset and increasing my exposure to visions of the future and opportunities of solutions that I have to offer others. Todd Falcone, The Fearless Networker tm, Todd, has helped pull me out of my shell, being a social media brand marketer, I typically only perform online, network online, promote online, everything based online. Todd really showed me how to expand my brand and myself across different offline platforms, encouraged me to get out in my community and utilize my voice and influence offline as well.
