Hi Jasmine, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Honestly, my husband if it wasn’t for him I would have never taken the plunge to start my brand. Then there’s what I think is the obvious my son who my brand is named after and the whole reason I even had the idea to create DeMarcusBSean. If it wasn’t for these two there would be no brand. My husband does so much behind-the-scenes stuff for me, he’s my photographer, my producer (perks of marrying a music producer) , my creative director, my model, and everything in between. I think him being an entrepreneur himself helps him to push me to give it my all. He really is someone I look up to because his drive and dedication is unmatched so I try to put the same effort that he puts into MarcDBeats into DeMarcusBSean. The family that we have built contributes so much to this brand and our kids DeMarcus & Ava really are the stars of the show.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Well, I am a SAHM turned Blogger turned Influencer/Content Creator and I absolutely loved it. I always wanted to start a blog since back in college and I did for a while but I wasn’t truly passionate about the topic. Fast forward I graduate with my degree in social work get a job and realize this just wasn’t what I thought it to be and I honestly when through a tough time trying to figure out what it is I am truly passionate about. I love helping people and giving back so I for sure thought social work was for me but there is just so much more that goes into it. Then I got pregnant with my son and found out he had CHD and instead of letting it break me which it almost did and I talk about that on my blog. I made it my purpose to advocate for CHD awareness for my son to tell his story our story. It hasn’t been easy because it’s our real-life and sometimes people don’t understand because he looks so happy and healthy all the time same goes for my husband who has Lupus. So at least he has someone to always look up to. Our brand now and I say our because I feel like yes I created it but my family is a big part of it. DeMarucsBSean will always advocate and create awareness for CHD but now I also share my journey through motherhood and life. So you can get everything from motherhood, Chd, recipes, fashion, my self-love journey, and more. I think when you make your brand about you or something you are truly passionate about it resonates better with others and it just comes naturally because nothing is forced to please others. So my best advice is to just do you and have fun with it, no it won’t always be easy but if you give it your all the rewards will come.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m an introvert so I honestly prefer to stay home and my husband can cook and we can have a fun game night. If we did decide to go out I have this long list of restaurants in the DFW area to try out because there are just so many good ones. We would definitely go to the zoo because I absolutely love the zoo. A new favorite of mine is Vidorra Dallas the food and drinks are so good especially the Mexican candy shots. Tupelo Honey for Brunch and wherever the good drink specials are.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
DeMarcus my husband for sure deserves some credit and our kids DeMarcus and Ava. If we are being honest my whole family and even his are super supportive of what I do and I truly appreciate the little things. They definitely don’t go unnoticed even if they don’t completely understand they try their best to always support.
