We had the good fortune of connecting with Renee Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Renee, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I was always the type of person to try out new products, but then I soon realized that I didn’t really know what I was putting in or on my body. So, since I can be a bit of a work out junkie at times I began my journey with fat burning oils made with 100% natural ingredients. Once I realized they actually worked I began my testing phase and decided to take things a bit further and start a skincare business.

What should our readers know about your business?
One of the biggest things that sets Black Park Skincare apart from the others is our customers being able to read, pronounce, and understand what they are putting in and on the body. Understanding what’s in and on your body is a crucial step to maintaining a healthy lifestyle and we pride ourselves on making sure our customers has access to that knowledge. Getting to where we are now was a bit of a struggle. One of the biggest obstacles is getting people to trust your brand especially, when it comes to skincare products. Many of us are terrified to try products let alone facial products because we’re not always guaranteed the best reactions. However, we have done extensive testing since 2016 so we are pretty confident the results of using Black Park will be very satisfying. Some lessons I’ve learned along the way is to NEVER give up. There will be times when things don’t make sense and you lose all hope. But, if you keep pushing and believing in your brand you are bound to be successful. Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family and friends deserve quite a bit of recognition. They have been EXTREMELY supportive. From being personal test dummies to working in the factory, they’ve been with me every step of the way. I am super lucky to have such a great support system.
