We had the good fortune of connecting with Christopher James and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christopher, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Honestly, I remember going to college and paying a stupid amount of rent for a small apartment that I thought was “luxury” With that in mind, when I got the funds I told myself I was going to buy real estate and rent it out to my people at a reasonable rate. A year later me and my business partners have done pretty well for ourselves. Still growing and expanding, so if anyone is interested in owning an investment property reach out!! 

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
So I own a real estate business, Dynasti Investments and Rentals. We own condos and multi family property here in Texas. The biggest hurdle was actually starting and finding good business partners to start with. Many people are turned away from real estate due to the high buy in needed and the small income you make in the beginning. But that’s the beauty of it because simply owning property has its own benefits, not to mention the compounding rental payments that come in as you grow. Ultimately I want to use Dynasti to educate my peers on the rental property purchasing process and build generational wealth.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Man thats hard, if I’m in Dallas I can go anywhere in Deep ellum, if I’m in Houston you can definitely find me at brunch at Graces. Honestly if the place has good food I’m most likely there drinking a mimosa eating lamb chops.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
So honestly I have to shout out God first and foremost because with lout him none of this would be possible. After that I’d honestly say my support system is Great. I have two business partners, Nick Whitt and Justin Jones that help with the day to day of the business. My father is a big inspiration on my life because he always taught me to never say I’m successful just blessed because there’s always another hurdle to clear to reach higher goals.
