We had the good fortune of connecting with Candace Cooper, LPC, LPCC-S, NCC and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Candace, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success is God, who serves as both the foundation and guiding force of my life and work. My journey has been shaped by a commitment to live authentically in alignment with how God has called me to serve. Rather than conforming to external expectations, I strive to remain grounded in faith, integrity, and purpose, trusting God’s direction even in seasons of uncertainty or growth.

As God is the potter and I am the clay, I recognize that success is not self-made but divinely shaped—formed through refinement, obedience, and continual learning. This perspective allows me to approach my work with humility and resilience, understanding that each challenge and achievement plays a role in God’s greater design.

My mission is to serve God’s kingdom by helping others recognize, develop, and live into their fullest potential. Through encouragement, leadership, and service, I aim to empower individuals to walk confidently in their God-given purpose, knowing that true success is measured not only by outcomes, but by faithfulness, impact, and service to others.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Organized Mindz Therapy was created at the intersection of faith, mental wellness, creativity, and purpose. The business provides therapeutic services and speaking engagements designed to support healing, personal growth, and sustainable transformation. What sets Organized Mindz Therapy apart is its holistic approach—addressing the mind, spirit, and lived experience while honoring each individual’s unique journey and God-given purpose.

In addition to therapeutic services and public speaking, I am also an author and clothing designer. Each extension of the brand serves a unified mission: to inspire authenticity, self-awareness, and empowerment. My writing allows me to share lived insights, faith-based encouragement, and practical tools for growth, while my clothing designs are intentionally created as wearable expressions of identity, confidence, and purpose. Together, these elements make Organized Mindz Therapy more than a service—it is a movement rooted in healing, expression, and transformation.

I am most proud of the impact this work has on individuals who are seeking clarity, restoration, and direction. Whether I am working with clients in a therapeutic setting, speaking to audiences, writing, or designing, my goal remains the same: to help people organize their minds, reclaim their voice, and walk boldly in who God has called them to be. I am especially excited about how the brand continues to expand beyond traditional therapy into creative and educational spaces, allowing the message to reach people in meaningful and accessible ways.

The journey to building Organized Mindz Therapy was not easy. It required perseverance, faith, and a willingness to grow through challenges. I encountered obstacles that tested my confidence and resolve, but each challenge strengthened my vision and refined my purpose. By trusting God’s guidance, remaining committed to learning, and staying aligned with my values, I was able to move forward with clarity and resilience. These experiences taught me that growth often comes through discomfort and that obedience and consistency are key to long-term impact.

Along the way, I have learned that success is not defined by speed or visibility, but by alignment, integrity, and service. Leadership is not about titles—it is about influence, stewardship, and the ability to uplift others. I have learned to embrace patience, remain authentic, and trust God’s timing, knowing that each season plays a critical role in the larger vision.

What I want the world to know about me and Organized Mindz Therapy is that this brand is deeply rooted in faith, purpose, and transformation. God is the foundation of my success—He is the potter, and I am the clay. My work exists to serve His kingdom by helping individuals heal, grow, and live fully into their potential. Organized Mindz Therapy represents hope, authenticity, creativity, and empowerment, and my story reflects what is possible when faith leads and purpose follows.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were visiting and I wanted to give them the best experience possible, I would plan a trip centered around beauty, culture, rest, and refinement. I love traveling to destinations that offer both relaxation and richness—places where you can enjoy life fully, intentionally, and with style. Two of my favorite experiences to share would be an international getaway like Belize or a luxurious domestic escape to Napa Valley. Both reflect my appreciation for the finer things in life, which aligns with who I am as a woman and as a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.

If we chose Belize, the week would begin with ease and immersion. We would spend the first day settling into a beachfront resort, enjoying ocean views, fresh seafood, and sunset cocktails. The next few days would be a balance of adventure and restoration—exploring Mayan ruins, visiting local villages, snorkeling or diving in the Blue Hole, and enjoying cultural food tours featuring authentic Belizean cuisine. Evenings would be reserved for relaxed dinners, live music, and meaningful conversation by the water. Midweek, we would schedule spa services and wellness experiences to truly rest and reset, followed by excursions that highlight the natural beauty and history of the country. Belize offers a perfect blend of culture, spirituality, and joy—an experience that feeds both the soul and the senses.

If we opted for Napa Valley, the trip would be elegant, intentional, and indulgent. The week would include curated wine tastings at premier vineyards, intimate dinners at Michelin-star or farm-to-table restaurants, and long scenic drives through the vineyards. We would visit local art galleries, enjoy spa treatments, and spend afternoons lingering over brunch or charcuterie boards paired with exceptional wines. Evenings would be about ambiance—soft music, meaningful dialogue, and appreciating craftsmanship, excellence, and beauty in all forms. Napa represents refinement, intentional living, and celebration, which makes it an ideal setting for connection and enjoyment.

What excites me most about travel is not just the destinations, but the people, culture, and experiences that broaden perspective and inspire gratitude. I am drawn to spaces that value excellence, creativity, and intentional living. Whether it’s engaging with local artisans, enjoying thoughtful hospitality, or simply being present in beautiful environments, I believe those moments shape us.

At the heart of it all, I love experiences that reflect joy, class, and purpose—spaces where you can laugh deeply, reflect honestly, and live well. That, to me, is the best time ever.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate Adris Moffet, owner of Next Steps Professional Counseling Service and Crystal Welcome. These ladies took a chance on me and recognized my fullest potential when there were days I couldn’t see it. They push and challenge me not just as a therapist and as a professional woman.
