We had the good fortune of connecting with Stephanie Peterson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stephanie, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Stylement was born from my own journey with confidence and style. I learned firsthand how powerful it is when what you wear reflects who you are, and I wanted others to experience that same transformation. For me, it’s never just been about clothes; it’s about giving people the confidence, time, and ease to show up as their best selves every day.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Stylement is all about making style simple, approachable, and confidence-boosting for people who don’t have the time or energy to figure it all out themselves. What sets me apart is that I’m not just focused on the clothes, I’m focused on the person. I want every client to feel seen, understood, and excited about the way they show up in the world.

What I’m most proud of is that my business helps people save time and stress while giving them back something so valuable: confidence. It hasn’t always been easy to get here. Starting a business from scratch takes resilience. There were plenty of moments where I had to remind myself why I started and push through. But each challenge taught me something, whether it was how to get comfortable with the uncomfortable, stay creative, or simply keep going when things felt slow.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that growth takes time, and that’s okay. Every client, every small win, and every lesson along the way has built the foundation for where Stylement is headed.

If there’s one thing I want people to know about me and my brand, it’s that I’m here to take the overwhelm out of style. Looking good shouldn’t feel complicated, it should feel like the easiest part of your day. And that’s exactly what I’m here to create.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were visiting Dallas for a week, I’d want them to experience the city’s mix of food, culture and local vibes. We’d start with brunch at Mercat Bistro or Beverley’s then explore Bishop Arts for boutique shopping and exploring. Absolutely must hit a walk on the Katy Trail and White Rock Lake. If it’s football season aka the best time of the year, watch some games in Lower Greenville or Addison. For dinner spots: Chilangos, Doce Mesas or The Mexican and ending the night at Parliament, Lounge 31 or Double Ds.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Honestly, I wouldn’t be where I am without the people who’ve cheered me on along the way. My biggest shoutout goes to my family and close friends – they’ve believed in me even on the days I doubted myself. Their support and encouragement has made all the difference as I’ve built this business.
