Meet David | Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with David and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi David, the decisions we make often shape our story in profound ways. What was one of the most difficult decisions you’ve had to make?
Taking a step back to take two steps forward, Leaving the corporate world to a world defined by my vision.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
“Our business is really built on the idea of modern heritage. We create luxury wool throws that are deeply inspired by place and story—like the ombré transitions of coastal fog or the warm, layered tones of a classic gentleman’s library. But what sets us apart is how bespoke it is: these aren’t mass-produced items. They’re small-batch runs, woven on heritage looms in the UK, with designs that start from my own paintings or studies.”
“I’m most proud that we’ve managed to keep that artistic integrity while making something people can actually use in their everyday lives. It wasn’t easy—I had to learn to balance creative vision with the realities of production, to navigate supply chain challenges without compromising quality. One big lesson was learning to say ‘no’ to mass-market pressures or cheap shortcuts, and to stay true to the idea that good design is meant to last.”
“What I really want people to know is that this is personal work. Every throw tells a story—it’s meant to be draped over a sofa, taken on a picnic, gifted as an heirloom. It’s about creating a sense of place and comfort that’s both timeless and rooted in genuine craft.”

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I have lived in Cleveland, Dallas, Chicago, Manhattan, and the Hamptons. There is so much to love about Dallas and the scene is ever changing. There are so many great places to see and go, but my go to favorite go to is The Charles. My journey in design has always been about understanding the wants and needs of the customer. I love The Charles, because much like my vision, it is all about the detials and enthusiasm of the experience.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
In the world of creativites, the encouragement, support, and collaboration with other creatives has shaped my journey.
