We had the good fortune of connecting with Claudia Wadsworth and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Claudia, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Since I was little, I’ve always loved art. I started painting at the age of 9, and that creative spark has stayed with me ever since. I went on to study fashion design and art in college in Mexico City, where I realized I could bring my artistry to life on people’s faces, which is what truly drew me to makeup.

What began as a love for painting evolved into a passion for makeup artistry. I started with bridal work and eventually transitioned into fashion runways, including Fashion Weeks in New York, Paris, Perú, Dominican Republic, and editorial shoots.

This is more than just a career for me, it’s my passion. Makeup allows me to blend creativity, connection, and transformation in a way that feels both personal and powerful. It brings everything I love together.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is all about enhancing natural beauty while creating a luxury experience, whether I’m working with a bride on the most meaningful day of her life or backstage at Fashion Week.

What sets me apart is not just the makeup itself, but the intention behind every brushstroke. I believe in listening first, truly getting to know a client’s vision, energy, and comfort level, and then creating customized, high-performance looks that feel like them, photograph flawlessly, and last through it all.
I’m a luxury bridal and haute couture makeup artist, and I bring with me the precision, timing, and creativity I’ve honed in the fast-paced fashion world. Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to work with the iconic fashion houses Dolce & Gabbana, Oscar de la Renta, Balmain, Carolina Herrera, Naeem Khan, and Michael Cinco. I’m especially proud and grateful to have led the makeup direction for three of these major shows, an honor that challenged me creatively and elevated my leadership as an artist.

Backstage at New York Fashion Week, personally with Miss Universe México, and large-scale editorials, I developed the ability to stay calm, prepared, and adaptable in rapid-fire environments, and now I bring those same skills to every bride and client I work with.

But the journey wasn’t easy. I started from the ground up with no industry connections, just passion, practice, and perseverance. As a Latina artist, I often had to carve out space in rooms where I didn’t see others who looked like me. There were moments of doubt, especially early on. But every challenge pushed me to level up, not just in my skillset, but in my confidence and clarity.

The biggest lessons I’ve learned? Be consistent. Be kind. Stay teachable. You can be both an artist and a professional. You can lead with heart and run a strong business. You don’t have to change who you are to succeed; you just have to own who you are, fully and unapologetically.

What I want the world to know is this: CW Pro Makeup isn’t just about makeup. It’s an experience rooted in excellence, artistry, and authentic connection. My goal isn’t just for you to look beautiful. My goal is to make you feel unforgettable.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were visiting the Dallas-Fort Worth area, I’d want them to experience the perfect blend of big-city energy and authentic Texas charm that defines this region.

In Dallas, we’d dive into the dynamic arts scene, exploring the Dallas Arts District with its world-class museums like the Nasher Sculpture Center and Dallas Museum of Art. We’d take in iconic city views from Reunion Tower, one of Dallas’s most recognizable landmarks. The city’s vibrant neighborhoods, like Bishop Arts, offer trendy boutiques, incredible eateries, and eclectic street art. Foodies would love sampling everything from upscale farm-to-table spots and gourmet tacos to inventive cocktails at some of Dallas’s best lounges. Besides, a visit to the Dallas Farmers Market would be the opportunity to taste fresh fruits and vegetables from all over the area, local handmade goods, and a dynamic setting.

Compared to that, Fort Worth brings that Western feel. We’d soak in history and culture at the Stockyards with cattle drives and honky-tonk music, and admire stunning collections at the Kimbell and Modern Art Museums. Fort Worth’s charming neighborhoods, like Fairmount and Magnolia Avenue, are packed with unique shops, street art, and inviting cafes. The food scene ranges from authentic Texas BBQ and Tex-Mex to refined Southern dining. And for downtime, sweet spots like the Fort Worth Botanic Garden and Trinity Trails offer nature escapes.

Where DFW stands out is how well these two cities balance each other. Dallas delivers the high-tech, contemporary flair, while Fort Worth grounds you in tradition and hospitality. Together, they offer a rich, diverse, and unforgettable experience with art, culture, food, and good times.

If you visit, I’d make sure you had a little bit of everything—from cowboy boots and cattle drives to rooftop bars and designer boutiques—because DFW is a city that welcomes you to experience, create, and celebrate life.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate my shoutout first to God, whose grace and guidance have been the foundation of every step I take. To my family, thank you for your unwavering support, love, and constant encouragement to keep growing, dreaming, and believing in my purpose.

Also, I want to shout out Book of Beauty, an incredible organization that’s played a huge role in my growth both professionally and personally. Being part of their community has reminded me that beauty is more than skin deep; it’s about empowerment, purpose, and showing up fully in your craft. Book of Beauty created space for artists like me to be seen, supported, and inspired. Their mentorship, network, and mission helped me step more confidently into the luxury bridal and high-fashion world, knowing I had a community that believed in me and wanted to see me win.

I’m also beyond grateful for the clients and creatives I’ve worked with along the way, but Book of Beauty truly helped shape the artist I am today. Their impact is lasting, and I carry that with me in every face I touch.
