Today we’re excited to be connecting with Rose Mun again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.

Rose , thanks for joining us again. Just to level set a bit for folks who may have missed our last interview together, can you briefly introduce yourself?
Hi! My name is Rose Mun and I am 28 years old. I’m a mix of things from being a content creator to an artist/musician. I’ve been told I’m a jack of all trades while being a master of many.

I started getting into content creation when I was only 10 years old. I used to watch videos online and I told myself that one day I’d be up there with a 100K YouTube plaque. Surprisingly, I achieved that goal 12 years later at the age of 22.

In life, it takes a lot of trial and error. You have to go through many ups and downs while giving yourself grace to make mistakes. It’s okay to learn and it’s okay to learn from those mistakes. We’re not all perfect. Use your 20s to discover the things you love and hate so you can do more of which that makes you happy.

Awesome, so we reached out because we wanted to hear all about what you have been up to since we last connected.
I recently moved to NYC back in November 2024 to pursue my dreams. I realized that life is short and time doesn’t wait for you. You have to be the change that you want to see for yourself and in this world.

I closed my fine line tattoo business of two years to pursue music and content creation full time in NYC. I wanted to follow my dreams and go all in.

During the day, I’m a media director for a marketing agency. When I’m not working, I’m a content creator out here in NYC or working on writing music. I’m a huge foodie so I’ll make foodie content as well. I love anything creative whether that includes photography, video editing, content creation, painting, or singing.

Since we last connected, so much has happened that’s been a range of motions. The journey has been so exciting. I’ve connected with artists and producers to create an album for this new year that I’m excited about to release hopefully by the end of the year.

From amazing new friends to amazing new connections, brand deals, and PR collab opportunities – the growth has been unmatched. I think it’s really cool what the Universe can provide when you start showing up for yourself.

The hard thing about moving away from home and to a big new city is starting over from scratch. The unknown can be scary and you start to doubt yourself. But the beauty is in the fear of the unknown. How would you ever know if you never try?

NYC is definitely a struggle. It’s real and raw. It tests you in ways where you must learn to fend for yourself but that’s where the most growth happens. I’d say the only bad part is how expensive NYC can be. However, despite the cost of living – it teaches you to budget and be financially smarter to budget. You have to limit your spending and be more mindful.

Alright, so let’s do something a bit more fast-paced and lighthearted. We call this our lightning round and we’ll ask you a few quick questions.

Life is often about tough choices – can you talk to us about your thought process, strategy or philosophy when it comes to making difficult choices or tradeoffs.
Sometimes in life, you just have to do it. Don’t think about how you’re going to do it. Anything that is for you will always be for you. Therefore, work on believing in yourself that you can do the hard thing. Find courage in the low parts of your life and use it to fuel you.

Being broke is hard. But getting rich is also hard. You must choose your hard at the end of the day.

When you’re at a fork in the road and you just choose between being content with the life you’re living or step up to become a better person, I always want to become the highest version of myself.

Therefore, I’ll always choose the better hard path so I can be in alignment with my highest self. I affirm positive things to myself on a daily basis and do my best to rewire my subconscious mind. I rewire negative thought patterns by listening to repetitive affirmations that will bring in a better mindset.

Everything is mental. So if you can learn to be aware of your thoughts or negative thought patterns, you have the ability to change the outcome of your life. Just because something happened to you doesn’t mean that that will always cripple you. Unless you let it.
