We had the good fortune of connecting with Samuel Gegen and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Samuel, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
So many thoughts here! My ultimate thought was that I knew I had it in me. I also knew I was meant for more and had massive dreams. Throughout my career in corporate, I learned all these high value skills and knew they could translate well into my own business. I learned and taught sales for many years and developed a strong skill to do so well. It was a tough, hardcore type of sale which forced me out of my comfort zone. I helped hundreds of salespeople learn how to sell well and loved having a positive impact on their lives. What I loved about this was I was able to teach them a skill they would have forever but also the skills and topics that go with it like developing a strong mindset, confidence, resiliency, handling rejection etc. It was so rewarding I knew I could go all in on my business and do the same on my own terms. I also had the mindset that it was riskier to NOT give myself a shot then to get another job. I was craving it. I wanted to build something special and knew the upside was limitless once I got it figured out. I also launched my podcast Million Dollar Seller and just launch a bunch of course work and trainings. I’m so excited for this journey!

What should our readers know about your business?
I have a Sales Coaching business. I love sales and when done right, it’s such a valuable skill to learn and to have. You can’t have a business and not be able to sell it, that’s where I come in. I really focus on helping entreprenuers sell their services with confidence and learn sales skills and processes to help them make more money and scale. I have been selling and teaching it for so long I understand what is needed from a sales psychology, process and closing stand point. I love helping other entreprenuers grow and thrive! It’s a total identity upgrade and mindset shift too. Getting into a sales career has been life changing. It has taught me so much including how to build confidence, produce outcomes, face rejection, lead productive conversations and so many more things. It’s unlocked total financial freedom in my life as well. I would not be where I am at today without learning how to sell.

I want the world to know that selling is serving in the highest form. We need your skills, we need your products and we need your solutions to the problems out there. Let’s sell your service, product and VISION together!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well first, we would hit the gym. We would go to John Reed Fitness and hit the weights because we both live a healthy lifestyle. This gets our mindset right and positive energy flowing. After the gym, it would be off to West Village close to the Katy Trail so we can get some brunch and then enjoy the sunshine and go for a walk. When the weather is nice, it’s great to get outdoors.

If it’s the weekend I’m hitting up a sound bath, sauna session, Trader Joe’s and then grabbing some food at the local Greek restaurant. I love a chill, fit and balanced vibe.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to dedicate this to all the support and mentors I’ve had along the way. It’s hard being an entrepreneur and sometimes people will not show up how you want them too but they do show up in ways to support you. I appreciate the support I’ve received and all the invaluable life lessons I learned along the way.
