“I’m inspired by seeing the connectedness between people. As a runner, I know we all might cover the same ground and never actually meet, yet the idea of sharing similar experiences and seeing the same things is exciting. I’m also drawn to public art and the nature I see around trails—they are all signs of life. Whether it’s vandalism or an art installation, I enjoy seeing these expressions of creativity. Each piece is an anonymous connection, left for others to notice and interpret, not knowing who, if anyone, will see it. It’s a reminder that we all leave marks that might resonate with someone else. As a kid, I loved getting in the car during the wintertime, specifically when the sun was going down, because it meant I would see all the houses lit up with Christmas lights. All the colors, Santa inflatables, and twinkling lights made me feel warm despite the cold weather. To this day, I am still inspired by that childlike wonder. Read more>>

I am inspired by what I want for my kids and family. My kids are 9 and 4, I want them to see that you don’t always have to be an employee. If you have an idea that you believe in, take the risk and see what happens. I want them to see that an every day, normal person like me that has had a full time job for the last 16 years can indeed change his path and build something of his own. I am a long way from what I would consider successful, but the fact that I stepped off the ledge a year ago and said I am doing this to benefit those around me, that’s what drives me to work on the project that is Bearded Man Provisions until 1 or 2 in the morning most days.
