We had the good fortune of connecting with Roger D David S and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Roger D, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Roger: “In my opinion, the guests we bring onto our platform are the key to our success as a podcast. They inspire, make us think, and share their expertise from their unique experiences. It’s a privilege to engage with them and provide valuable insights to our audience, so they can walk away with practical wisdom to apply in their daily lives. It’s priceless!”

David: “I completely agree with Roger. Our guests are the ones who make us who we are. We create a safe and judgment-free space for them to open up about their struggles and share their stories. By doing so, they provide tips and secrets that can help others take the leap of faith on their own path. We’re grateful to be a part of their journey and to share their amazing stories with our audience!”

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Roger: “I believe what sets us apart from others in our space is our commitment to starting with high standards. From the beginning, we knew that consistent quality was key. We invested in a multi-camera setup, professional lighting, high-end audio equipment, and great microphones. Our planning was careful and calculated. I attribute my work ethic to my parents, who taught me to work hard and get things done by any means necessary.

The biggest challenge was the learning curve. Before podcasting, I had little knowledge of video production, social media, or SEO. However, our consistency and hunger for improvement with each episode and short-form content helped bridge that gap. We’re proud to produce some of the best content in our space.

The number one thing I want the world to know about Direct Discussions Podcast is that we’re here to stay. We’re dedicated to sharing stories of entrepreneurship, fitness, finance, family dynamics, and more to provide value to our audience. We believe anyone can inspire others, regardless of their status. Our priority is to amplify our guests’ voices and provide value to them in return. We’re not here to gatekeep; we’re here to give back.”

David: “I agree with Roger. What separates us is our willingness to give value to our guests and our audience. We’re not just focused on our own success; we want to help others succeed too.”

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Roger: “If you’re looking for some fun activities in the area, I’d recommend:

– Grabbing a bite to eat at Arlington Highlands
– Catching a concert in Deep Ellum
– Exploring the Stockyards in Ft Worth
– Spending a fun day at Traders Village
– Enjoying the nightlife in Uptown
– And, I know this might sound unconventional, but finding a nearby body of water like Joe Pool Lake and taking a swim!

Keep in mind, I might get some flak for that last suggestion, but it’s a great way to cool off and enjoy the outdoors!”

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
David: “How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie is a great resource!”

Roger: “Absolutely! I want to give credit to:

1. God, first and foremost
2. Patrick Bet-David and his team at PBD Podcast for extracting valuable insights from their guests, even when they have differing views
3. YouTube, for being a valuable teacher and resource
