We had the good fortune of connecting with Lauren Haley and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lauren, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I attribute my success to my family. My husband encouraged me to get my real estate license and has always been very supportive. Whether it’s a weekend showing or if I need to type up a contract, my husband helps me a lot with our kids so that I can focus on work. My group at Compass, Danuser + Rado Group also contributes by serving as an amazing mentor to me. Christine Danuser and Julie Rado, my teammates, have been in real estate collectively for over 12 years and I feel honored to be a part of our top ranked team. I also attribute my success to my network. Having a vast and diverse network as an agent is key. My business is largely driven by referrals which come to me from many avenues. I grew up in Houston and attended St. Francis Episcopal and then Memorial High School. I attended The University of Texas and joined Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. Since moving to Dallas in 2012, I have served on the fundraising committee for Cattle Barons Ball for several years. My daughters attend Good Shepherd Episcoal School, and we are members of T Bar M Racquet Club. All of these are networks that contribute to my business and drive my client referrals.

What is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success is communication. Buying a home is one of the most important decisions someone will make in their lifetime. It can be an exciting and also a stressful time. My job as a real estate agent is to guide my client and do everything I can to benefit their best interests. I also value communications with other agents, title companies and lenders to ensure that the transaction is going smoothly. I enjoy hearing from my clients that they appreciate the text updates, email recaps, etc that keep them feeling confident and knowledgeable. My team at Compass, The Danuser + Rado Group, is top ranked in Dallas and provides me with expert guidance. Another important factor is being resourceful. My clients are always needing contacts for services like painting, handyman, electrical, plumber, etc. As an agent, I have personal favorites for all of these trades and my clients appreciate that I am recommending a reputable person.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I obtained my real estate license in May 2020 in the midst of COVID. It was definitely an interesting time for real estate! My daughters were doing online school while I was trying to study for the real estate exam – this was a huge challenge! My teammate Christine and I knew each other from Cattle Barons Ball. She and Julie had discussions about bringing on a new member, and I reached out to Christine to talk real estate. The timing was perfect for me to join their team, and I always knew I wanted to join Compass because they are so focused on technology and training their agents. I learned so much thanks to Compass and my amazing team, Danuser + Rado Group. There were definitely challenges, but having a mentor in my group was incredibly helpful. I have since tailored my own approach to helping clients live where they live! Being a real estate agent is fun and exciting for me because every client and every deal is different. As an agent, we wear many different hats! One day we might be a therapist and the next we are interpreting a roof inspection. There are so many different aspects of the job, but the most important is looking out for your clients interests and making them happy. There is nothing more rewarding than a client referring me to family or friends because they had such a great experience working with me. I also work all over Dallas. I have done transactions everywhere from Park Cities to McKinney and Frisco.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would do a Shine Hot Pilates class to start the day off right! Or if they enjoy tennis, we would play in a clinic at T Bar M Racquet Club. We would then freshen up and head to Highland Park Village for shopping and lunch at Honor Bar. We would end the day at the new posh social club, Golightly in the Hotel Swexan. Some of my other favorite restaurants are Il Bracco, Shinsei and R&D.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My teammates Christine Danuser and Julie Rado and all of my wonderful clients!
