Hi Dewayne, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The inception of Rare Rock Auto , my private car rental business, originates from a blend of personal interests and a keen understanding of consumer needs. My passion for all things car-related, ranging from exhilarating weekend drives through the hills to attending car shows and exploring custom wheels and wraps, serves as the driving force behind this venture. As a resident of Little Rock, Arkansas, I observed a rising demand for convenient and flexible transportation options. This insight, coupled with my enthusiasm for the car culture, inspired me to create a business that prioritizes reliability and customer satisfaction. Rare Rock Auto aims to bridge the transportation gap by offering a fleet of meticulously maintained vehicles that cater to diverse needs, all while delivering exceptional customer service. This endeavor perfectly aligns with my commitment to providing valuable services to my city and contributing to the dynamic automotive landscape.

Rare Rock Auto stands out from the crowd with a  blend of passion, dedication, and a commitment to excellence. What sets us apart is not just the fleet of diverse vehicles we offer but also the driving force behind the business my genuine love for cars and the automotive culture. I take pride in the service we provide, catering to diverse needs with a focus on reliability and customer satisfaction. Reflecting on the journey that brought us here, it’s a culmination of hard work, never giving up and the unwavering support of a dedicated team. The path was without a doubt challenging, from building and maintaining a good personal and business credit score, the hassle of acquiring the cars, to dealing with unruly customers at times because you can’t make everybody happy, to inclement weather slowing down the business  overcoming obstacles was part of the process. Persistence, learning from setbacks, and adapting to change were crucial in navigating the challenges. As we continue to evolve, I am excited about the opportunity to share our story with the world, emphasizing the values that drive Rare Rock Auto passion, quality, and a commitment to delivering exceptional experiences in the world of private car rentals.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The possibilities for memorable experiences is more of a quality over quantity here in Little Rock. I would say a visit to the River Market District would be a must, exploring local shops, eateries, and perhaps catching a live performance. Along with a trip to the Clinton Presidential Library which provides insightful glimpses into the city’s rich history.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have two. All thanks go to God first and foremost.  Secondly a heartfelt shoutout to my amazing parents, whose unwavering support has been my anchor through my life. My mom, a dedicated teacher, has imparted not only knowledge but also a strong work ethics and a passion for learning. Her commitment to education has been a guiding light in my life. Equally, my dad, a skilled professional in sales, has shared invaluable insights on resilience, hardwork, and the art of building meaningful connections. Their combined encouragement and wisdom have shaped my journey, instilling in me the values of perseverance and the importance of genuine relationships. I am truly grateful for their endless support, and I owe much of my success to their inspiration and guidance.
