We had the good fortune of connecting with Lexus Lemon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lexus, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
The most important thing having my own business has taught me, is to take risk. To not to let fear keep me from taking those big leaps of faith. No risk, no reward. You cannot be scared to go after the things you want, and a no just means there is something better out there waiting for YOU! Every time I stepped out on faith and did something I was afraid to do, something beautiful always came from it! Take The Risk!!!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

I am a Dallas Realtor who finds joy working and helping First Time Home Buyers. Something that sets me apart is having the background of teaching, so I am able to walk with my First Time Home Buyers and teach them step by step about the process and the important things to look out for when purchasing a home, while having fun doing it!

I would say I got to where I am today by not giving up. I hit roadblocks along the way, but I never gave up. Quit has not been in my vocabulary since I started Real Estate. I also got to where I am, because I showed up EVERYDAY! I showed up to the office everyday, even when I didn’t have a client, I showed up even when I didn’t feel like it. Showing up made me put in work, made me learn everything I didn’t know, it made me do things for my business sitting at home I would not have done. In this industry it is easy to get lazy, there is no one telling you you have to work. But when all you have is yourself, you show up and you keep showing up. If I don’t show up, I won’t be able to eat, I won’t be able to live, I won’t be able to afford the lifestyle I want. So to sum it up, I showed up and never gave up!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend came to Dallas for a week long vacay, it would be filled with a little adventure, a little self love, and a little relaxation. We would visit some of my favorite restaurants throughout the week. Some of my favorite sexy dinner spots would be: The Mexican, Kessaku, Komodo, Carbone, Drakes, and Nobu just to name a few. For a more casual dinner: il Bracco, Haywire, The Henry, Nori Handrail Bar, and Earl’s Kitchen + Bar. I would book couples massages for us to relax, followed by a low-key movie night. We’ll have a day where we explore Dallas, day drink and bar hop, maybe visit some art galleries, do some shopping at Northpark Mall, and end the night on the couch with a large pizza.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are sooo many people I can name right now that have poured into my success. First, my immediate family has been my biggest cheerleaders, they are the ones that pick me up when I feel I can’t keep going. Second would be my amazing brokerage; I came to RHA a little broken and bruised from my previous broker, and RHA poured sooo much into me, encouraging and uplifting me, and teaching me everything I need to know to be successful in this industry. They saw something in me I didn’t even see in myself. They are literally my extended and chosen family. Lastly but certainly not least, God carried me through all of the highs and lows in life, so without Him there would be no me. He placed me in the rooms I needed to be in, put me in front of the people I needed to be in front of, and he continues to show up and show out in my life! He’s the Main Shoutout!!
