We had the good fortune of connecting with Kalisha Harris and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kalisha, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I wanted to make jewelry that was eye catching and stunning. I want my brand to be able to spread through references that value my products and customer service.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart from others is just thinking creatively about pieces I make and that I also make wire wrapped pieces. I have just been taking my time so my work reflects what I produce. It is not always easy, but it’s worth it. The lesson is to stay true to your craft, keep learning, and stay the course. Give us a chance to drape you in jewelry that speaks volumes.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My favorite spots in Dallas Texas are Deep Ellum, Trinity Groves, and Bishop Arts. Great places to eat are Cane Rosso, Beto & Sons, Odd Fellows, and 303 Grill. All are also great places to hang out with friends and family.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My husband Antonio has been supportive and given me many ideas and advice throughout this journey.
