Hi Khawaja, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
While working for multinational firms and software companies, I was always keen to start my own Company. In addition to a full-time job, I started working as a part-time freelancer. I spent my evenings working for clients through various online platforms and became a top-rated/featured service provider.

During the global recession of 2009 and the uncertain job market, I decided to move on and founded Woody Wood Web (inspired by World Wide Web), intending to provide budget-friendly solutions for all IT needs. The thought behind Woody Wood Web (a Woody Wood Group, LLC company) was to provide world-class services and be a one-stop solution for new startups, small businesses and corporations. At Woody Wood Web, our motto is to always be there when our clients need us, irrespective of weekends or holidays. We believe in 100% client satisfaction, which is one reason why they are here to stay once a client gets on board.

What should our readers know about your business?
We provide website design and development services, including custom development and open-sourced platforms. We have expertise in providing static, e-commerce and custom-made websites, including UI/UX. Besides website development, we offer mobile application development services, graphic designing and digital marketing services. Additionally, we provide customized software development services.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
As it happens, I spend my year between three countries, UAE, Pakistan and Malaysia. Depending on where I am situated, I would take a visiting friend to explore the city I am in. From the spectacular Arabic experience in Dubai to the rich, centuries-old cuisine of Karachi, which dates back to the Mughal Empire and to Kuala Lumpur, where one can truly experience the essence of South East Asia.

The best part of this business is finding global clients who, in turn, become great friends. That is why I keep travelling worldwide for business meetings, conferences and events from the USA and the Middle East to the Far East and Europe. This allows me to explore new cultures and food and reciprocate our culture and cuisine.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Starting from Grad School, I would like to thank my professors, the best mentors I could ask for. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank my parents for being a source of positive influence during those times of uncertainty when I was just starting with Woody Wood Web. Unquestionably, I achieved what I had always dreamt of with their unwavering support.

Learning about the lives and achievements of great people like Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, and Elon Musk made me realize the importance of diligence in work.

During this journey, I came across The 10% Entrepreneur by Patrick J. McGinnis, which is very insightful, an excellent read, and deserves a recommendation.
