We had the good fortune of connecting with Yelitza Tlatoani and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Yelitza, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
I am a believer of manifestation and the law of intent. My core belief is that I can accomplish anything my mind is set on, so long as I work hard and keep an open mind to all possible routes to reaching my goals.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Being in the artistic realm, my work is to be criticized by general public. It is important to me, that I stay true to myself and believe in the content I create. I keep an open mind to evolving and refinement of my work. Anytime I have doubt or lack inspiration, I take a break and focus on myself and finding inspiration.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I attended University of North Texas, Denton has a special place in my heart. I love going back and seeing the tremendous growth of the city and area. I spent many nights on Fry Street during my 20’s so I always nice to visit and visit the local restaurants.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I give credit to my accepting family and many friends I’ve met along the years. Amongst those friends are my college friends that lead me to self discovery and self empowerment.
