Meet Yadhu Krishnan | Filmmaker

We had the good fortune of connecting with Yadhu Krishnan and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Yadhu, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
As I started my filmmaking journey, the process from having a vision to executing it and connecting with the world as an audience was exciting. I realised this is what I want in life and this is what gives me hope,excitement and happiness.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I started as a writer and when I realised that limits expressing my vision while execution, I started directing. Now I have my latest movie “Crossfire” where I have pushed myself to learn every aspect of filmmaking which includes writing,directing,producing and working in distribution with theatrical release and even marketing. Very few people would drive that way since every step forward is a struggle. But now that builds up my confidence,experience and outlook.

Having said that I belive the saying “Show me your friends,I l tell your future”. Surround yourself with positive mindset’s with mutual instrests and goal and support each other.
I would like to share to the world “ “It’s important you enjoy your journey to, rather than the destination itself. Life is short.”

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I have a great passion for traveling and discovering new places and people. Therefore, I would be thrilled to revisit Flushing in the Netherlands, where I could enjoy delicious food and drinks under the city lights, while admiring the picturesque lake at the heart of the city. It would be a magical experience to see the boats passing under the bridge, with cozy cafes dotted all around. Even during winter, the sight of snow falling on the wooden structures would make every moment spent there truly worthwhile.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I believe being passionate about something drives you initially through a rough terrain but consistency will eventually drive to change the terrain itself. I believe and pay gratitude to my team and mentors who supported and trusted my vision. I take this opportunity to pay respect and prayers to my friend/brother/DP Late Mr.Pippy Dilshad who opened up this gateway for me.
