Risks are fun! And risk taking is a very essential part of the creative process in general. For me, the biggest risks I took were the others shrouded in uncertainty. There have many instances where I have taken a risk for the betterment of my career. An example would be my move to New York City. I was very nervous and anxious to make the move, and it had seemed like just a dream for the longest until I took the leap of faith. Risk has been the driving force behind every major decision in my life, and honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. From starting out on what college I was going to attend to my first big city move after graduating, it was all a risk. When I was stuck in corporate America making decent money but feeling completely unfulfilled, I took the biggest risk of all—I chose passion over security.
