We had the good fortune of connecting with Rasheda Thomas and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rasheda, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The thought process behind me starting my own Life Coaching business. One day I was speaking with a woman who was having some challenging times with her 12-year-old daughter. The woman began to explain how her daughter was being bullied by other classmates in school. Seeing that I have a daughter who was also facing that same situation in school. The mom and I spoke for an hour and we decided to exchange phone numbers. I was able to provide some type of relief and coaching advice to the mom. The mom called me a month later and told me how she appreciated the guidance I shared with her and the daughter. It was at this time, I realized there are many children who are facing different challenges in life. Later that day I went home and began working towards a plan to inspiring other people. I started reaching out to Juvenile Detention Centers, Prisons, shelters, and Schools seeking to motivate people who may feel overwhelmed in life. After some success, I began to think. What if this is my calling in life? I stepped out on faith and started studying and taking many courses, classes, and seminars on Life Coaching sessions. After completing many hours and internship courses I started RT Life Coaching.
