Meet Zuma Attah | Graphic Artist & Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Zuma Attah and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Zuma, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
There is always something new to learn and you will always be exposed to new ideas and approaches to the work that improve your own fundamentals.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m a professional illustrator on paper, but I still see it as a fun thing I like to do. However, I do want to profit off my endeavors so that it can sustain my life style choices. I focus mainly on cute, cartoony animals and people in different environments. Learning how to draw was a gradual process I picked up from watching things like Looney Tunes, Tom & Jerry, Pokemon, and Dragon Ball.
It always amazed me that someone could create something imaginary that tugs on your emotions in a real way thru animations and drawings. I’ve focused on learning what it takes to make appealing looking characters that create loyal viewers and establish a style unique to me.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
There’s the Botanical Gardens in Dallas, plenty of art galleries, historical monuments, and BBQ. A week of that will make anyone consider staying in Dallas. You wouldn’t even have to do any of the other stuff, just have BBQ two times a day everyday until they leave!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shoutout to all my family and friends who have supported me all the way up to this point. I thank God for continuing to bless me with opportunities I never imagined.
