Meet Zoe Yielding | Independent stylist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Zoe Yielding and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Zoe, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I pursued hair for the creative and artistic abilities behind the chair! I loved being able to put my artistic talents to work and make people feel beautiful about themselves.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m an independent hairstylist with a passion for creating beautiful, blondes and creative color. What sets me apart is the care and attention I give to every client who sits in my chair. It’s not just about the end result—it’s about making each person feel confident, heard, and taken care of. I love building real connections and making sure every client leaves not only loving their hair but feeling like the best version of themselves.
Getting to where I am today definitely hasn’t been easy. Growing my business meant learning a lot through trial and error, staying committed even during the tough times, and constantly pushing myself to grow—both as a stylist and as a person. There were moments of self-doubt, but my passion for what I do and the incredible support from my clients and loved ones kept me going. I’ve learned that staying true to yourself, being consistent, and always keeping the client’s experience at the center of everything is key and I believe that could be the case for most businesses.
What I want people to know about me and my brand is that it’s built on genuine care, trust, and a love for making people feel amazing. I’m proud of the community I’ve built in every aspect of my career and future endeavors.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Fortworth has such a unique charm, there is always something fun to do!
This is my week long itinerary of things I would do:
Day 1 – Welcome to Fort Worth
We’d kick things off with brunch at Press Cafe—their patio is unbeatable and perfect for people-watching. Afterward, we’d take a stroll or bike ride on the Clearfork Trailhead. Dinner would be at the iconic Joe T. Garcia’s for classic Tex-Mex and their famous margaritas, soaking up the patio vibes.
Day 2 – Stockyards Adventure
We’d spend the day at the Fort Worth Stockyards, watching the cattle drive, shopping local western boutiques, and maybe hopping on a mechanical bull at Billy Bob’s Texas. For lunch, we’d stop at Heim Barbecue—can’t miss out on some authentic Texas BBQ. Drinks later at Hotel Drover’s bar to wind down.
Day 3 – Art, Coffee & Cocktails
We’d start slow with coffee from Cherry Coffee Shop, then visit the Kimbell Art Museum and Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. For lunch, we’d hit up Righteous Foods—fresh, healthy, and delicious. At night, I’d take them to Thompson’s Bookstore Speakeasy for a fun, hidden cocktail spot.
Day 4 – Nature & Relaxation
Morning visit to the Fort Worth Botanic Garden, maybe followed by paddleboarding at Lake Worth or a relaxing walk around Trinity Park. Lunch at Cane Rosso for some of the best wood-fired pizza, then dessert at Melt Ice Creams—because you can’t visit Fort Worth without stopping there!
Day 5 – Local Shopping & Magnolia Avenue
We’d spend time shopping at The Shops at Clearfork or browsing boutiques in West 7th. Lunch at Little Red Wasp, then an afternoon exploring Magnolia Avenue—lots of local bars, restaurants, and cool shops. We’d wrap the night with cocktails at The Usual or Twilite Lounge.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My achievements mean a great deal to me, but none of them would have been possible without the constant support and encouragement of my loved ones—most of all, my husband. His unwavering belief in me has been my greatest strength throughout this journey.
