Meet Zach Bingham | CEO A to Z Sports

We had the good fortune of connecting with Zach Bingham and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Zach, every day, we talk about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
A to Z Sports is an On-Demand Sports Talk Network that covers the Dallas Cowboys and Dallas Mavericks through live-streaming sports talk shows and website publications. A to Z Media, LLC was created by Austin Stanley and Zach Bingham in August of 2016.
After being in Sports Talk Radio in Nashville, TN for several years, my business partner and I realized that we could take the same type of concept and put it on social media. We built an interactive audience to discuss local sports each and every day, which was something missing online. Utilizing Facebook Live video streaming, YouTube and Periscope/Twitter, not only could we be seen, but our audience could type real-time comments on the sports topics we were discussing.
This concept grew into multiple shows within the Nashville market before expanding to the Dallas-Ft Worth market soon after. We saw the Cowboys fan base as one of the biggest and best in the country. The Dallas market has really resonated with our content and has already grown more followers in 8 months than we built in Nashville over 4 years. Along with our website, we have created a full interactive platform that can benefit local advertisers in a whole new way!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
A to Z Sports is a unique On-Demand Network that has online communities all across the NFL landscape. Dallas is our biggest market, centered around coverage of the Cowboys. We have live interactive streaming sports talk shows every weekday morning with host Will Steele. Mauricio Rodriguez hosts our Primetime slot, Sunday-Thursday night at 8pmCT. These shows can be seen on our A to Z Sports Dallas facebook page and youtube channel.
Just like in life, business comes with highs and lows. The sports talk station in Nashville, TN canceled our radio show in 2016. They didn’t believe in us. Fast forward five years and we had 14+ million hits on our website in 2021, more social media followers than the station that let us go and are growing across the country. If you believe in yourself and have a strong work ethic, good things will come your way.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Let’s head to a Mavs game where Luka Doncic drops 47 in a win. And then on Sunday, the Cowboys beat the Eagles on a game winning touchdown pass from Dak Prescott in AT&T Stadium! Not a bad way to start the week…
It’s hard to find a bad spot to eat in Dallas. For BBQ, We would have either Terry Black’s or Tenders in Frisco. The brisket is on point. For a burger & a beer, you can’t beat Katy Trail Ice House. The Caesar Roll at Oishii is sneaky good. Knife Dallas for a nice dinner. Head to Deep Ellum for some Ramen at Oni and hit up the nightlife.
It would be a good time.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The first shoutout has to go to my Dad. When I was seven years old, he took me to my first NFL football game and it literally changed my life. From that point on, I knew that I wanted a career in sports.
Once I got into sports talk radio after college, I realized that advertising was what paid the bills. My sales mentor, Justin Styll, taught me how to treat clients through the sales process and not be afraid to ask for the decision maker. I then saw the true impact of what local advertising can do for small businesses.
Our 30+ employees have such a passion for the A to Z brand and what they do. Shoutout to everyone who takes part in A to Z Sports content! They are the reason we’ve built the digital community that we have. To go along with that, shoutout to our sales team and all of our local advertisers that we promote across our social channels.
Shoutout to our company consultants, Scott Welch and William Lowery. They’ve been an integral part of our expansion and give us the needed guidance to take our media company to new heights. The investors that believed in our digital media concept have been a driving force to our success as well.
But the biggest shoutout has to be my business partner, Austin Stanley. Not many put this together but A to Z originated from Austin & Zach. We have worked endless hours to build this company to where it is and there’s no slowing down. We’ve come a long way from doing weekend AM radio but have maintained the vision to continue to build our company across the country. The sky’s the limit.
