We had the good fortune of connecting with Yashanae Rougeau and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Yashanae, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The business actually started with my husband wanting to create his own clothing line: Golden Walk, and me hand painting letters and signs. We decided to combine both businesses into one umbrella: Red Unlimited. Our last name translates to Red Water, and we have unlimited talents and crafts we create.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m excited to be the business that provides majority of the Tam Nicole Esthestican Studio & Spa branding. The goal is to be the branding for a large business, and this is the start. Is it easy: definitely not especially when we both have full time jobs outside of this. There are times where we are unable to meet the need in the time, but most of our clients like our work and are willing to wait and work with us. I want the world to know that we are here and Golden Walk will be out making a statement.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We like to eat so I would take them to Breakfast Brothers in Arlington, Gloria’s for drinks, most definitely a baseball game (Go Rangers!), Go Ape! for climbing and zip lining, and then depending on the weather walk around downtown to bar hop.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I truly want to thank all those that have purchased items from us and continued to help our business grow. We’re not where we want to be but with our clients we make sure they get the best of everything. I also want to thank all those that pave the way with designing and creating apparel. The market is so full of shirt designers but there’s always room and lessons being taught from them.
