Meet William Jenkins | Founder and C.E.O

We had the good fortune of connecting with William Jenkins and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi William, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I was in the process of getting out of the military and always had an itch for business. I thought about how i could continue to help the world as a civilian while pursuing a new life as an entrepreneur. I was getting back home from my last deployment, sending secret equipment on civilian ships back to the US. The thought passed my mine (Maritime services). I researched and found a viable need for Maritime services and security in the world. I went back home on a visit and saw security companies around the DFW metroplex and could not believe what i saw. I saw companies that sent personnel that could not secure anything let alone people. I knew this was my new mission, bringing a new standard to security services to the world.
In the final steps of exiting the military I wrote a business plan and began my journey.

What should our readers know about your business?
I founded W.D. Jenkins Private Security (JPSUSA) in May of 2019 with a mission to raise the standard of safety and protection in the private security industry. Our focus has always been on providing top-tier service to businesses and high-net-worth individuals who need dependable and customized protection. In 2023, I expanded my entrepreneurial journey by founding Texas Business Owners and Executives (TBOE)—a networking event platform specifically designed to bring business owners and executives together to share insights, build relationships, and grow their businesses.
What truly sets us apart at JPSUSA is our unwavering passion and ability to solve our clients’ problems with precision and care. We don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach—we listen, we assess, and we deliver security solutions tailored to each client’s unique needs. Our clients trust us not only because we get the job done, but because we do so with integrity and excellence.
I’m most proud of my team. The people who have worked for me have shown exceptional selflessness and dedication. It means a lot to hear from their families that their loved ones are proud of the work they do and the environment they’re in. That speaks volumes about the culture we’ve created.
Getting to where I am today hasn’t been easy. There were plenty of challenges along the way, but I overcame them through faith in God, the support of my family, and the trust of our amazing clients. Persistence and a refusal to quit have been key to our success.
One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is that you can’t build something great alone. Surrounding yourself with good people who share your vision and values is crucial. It’s about building a team that moves forward together with purpose.
What I want the world to know about JPSUSA is simple: we put our clients first. We are proud to be a top-tier brand in the security industry, and we’re committed to excellence in everything we do. Our story is one of purpose, perseverance, and passion—and we’re just getting started.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting for a week, I’d make sure they experienced the very best that the Dallas-Fort Worth area has to offer—from food to nightlife to unforgettable vibes.
We’d kick things off with brunch at Chelsea’s Corner. The food is top-tier, the drinks are always on point, and the energy of the place is unbeatable. Chris Camillo really nailed it with that spot—it’s the perfect way to start the day.
For lunch, we’re diving into classic Texas BBQ—because you can’t visit Texas without it. First stop would be Hutchins BBQ in McKinney—a local legend. Then we’d hit Lockhart Smokehouse in Plano, another go-to spot where the brisket never misses. If you haven’t tried these places, you’re definitely missing out.
When it comes to dinner, I’d rotate between a few of my absolute favorites:
The Henry – laid-back elegance with incredible dishes.
Carbone – upscale Italian with unbeatable flavor.
The Saint – perfect for a stylish night out.
Komodo – a sleek, trendy vibe with bold pan-Asian flavors.
Tower Club – for a high-rise dinner with stunning views of the city.
Mot Hai Ba – award winning fusion restaurant for the taste buds.
Each of these places brings something unique to the table—literally and figuratively.
After dinner, the nightlife begins. Depending on the day and the mood, we might start the night at Saaya in Deep Ellum or Hookah House Lounge in Allen—both great spots to unwind and catch a vibe.
For something more energetic, Cowboys Red River is the place for a true Texas 2-step experience. Or if we’re looking for a city vibe, Green Light Social never disappoints.
To wrap up the week with some Sunday Funday action, we’d hit Backyard in Deep Ellum—think beer pong tournaments, mega Connect Four, and a crowd that’s always ready for a good time. It’s the perfect way to end a packed, unforgettable week.
Whether it’s great food, fun atmospheres, or exploring different sides of the city, I make sure my guests experience all the places that make Dallas-Fort Worth exciting, vibrant, and memorable.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First I would like to thank God with out him nothing in my life would be possible. One important person in my life that has guided me to business is my uncle Frank Washington. Frank is a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the army. while I was in the Marine Corps we would often talk about career progression and beyond. We would talk about business as it was something we were both interested in starting after our careers in service. This led me down the path of business research and the book Midas Touch which propelled me to where i am today. those three God, my uncle and the book gave me unwavering confidence to take on all the challenges the journey would throw at me.
