Meet Will Smith | Credit Restoration Specialist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Will Smith and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Will, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
The #1 value to me professionally and to a personal extent is to help others. In my industry, people seek to work with me when there is a need to improve or restore their credit from a previous life issue. I take that desire to trust me with that need very seriously, and the trust my referral partners have to put their name on the line to refer people to me in so important to me.

In turn, I need to make certain I am helping people achieve that intended goal of improved credit-whether they are working with me or not! As a Christian, the Bible calls me to be a servant. That means in all seasons, not just when it benefits me. Reality is that there are probably some times in life things will not be a win-win, however when I place my priority in helping others achieve; I know that there will be so many others willing to help me do the same.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I was previously in the education field for nearly 15 years as a teacher/coach and then administration. I left it abruptly without much thought of the next step, I thought I would always be a educator…and then one days I wasn’t. My wife actually found this career path for me, and I immediately told her this was not for me. I tried for weeks to find ways to quit.

However through great mentorship, hard work, some long hours and most importantly the grace of God I have been blessed with an amazing career. I work with the greatest firm in credit restoration-The Phenix Group-and the most wonderful group of referral partners in the industry. My family has been blessed beyond measure and I have been able to change thousands of peoples’ lives by restoring their credit.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m a sports nut-so depending on the season we’re taking in a Cowboys/Rangers/Stars/or Mavs game. They may not be my favorite teams, but they are here so we’re going! We’re going to play some golf for sure, the weather sets up in North Dallas to play nearly year round.

I enjoy the water as well and have a few toys, so we’ll take a couple of jet skis out and come back at the end of the day and grill out some steaks. If you’re exhausted by then, I don’t know what to tell you!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Honestly, there are probably too many people to list, I’ve been blessed with the most amazing influences in my life. If I had to choose one, other than Christ, it would be my wife Nikki. She is my ride or die, the person who makes me want to be better, and who has had my back for over 20+ years of marriage. We love each other, push each other, hold each other accountable, celebrate our successes together and most importantly give each other grace.
