We had the good fortune of connecting with Victoria Pelletier and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Victoria, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Taking risks is a big part of the reason I accelerated in my career as early and as often as I have. I have left “comfortable” or more secure roles to take a risk with a new role and/or company because it offered either a more progressive role or a stepping stone to the next step in my progressive professional journey.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My backstory is the kind you tell a therapist, not necessarily an audience. I was born into in a broken family environment. My drug addicted biological mother had mental health challenges and was severely abusive. But I survived, I was adopted to a new family, and I subsequently chose a different path – one that would create value and impact for others. Sometimes we learn what “not to do” from those around us. That would be me. The pain and loss of my past feeds my drive and resilience and pushes me to share my story and support others in their journey towards becoming Unstoppable.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I just moved to Florida from New York City, but New York remains one of my favourite cities on earth and I’m back quite often. I have my regular “haunts” when I’m there and usually go each time I am in town – as a big foodie, this usually involves many restaurants. I start my weekends with an amazing French restaurant called Chateau 49, owned and operated by a French woman and her fiance – amazing food and service. I will often head to Central Park for a scooter ride around the park or a picnic in the park. Dinner is often at a great South American steak house called K Rico – many hit it up before taking in a show on Boradway (or if I feel like a party atmosphere, then we head to Le Baratin on Greenwich – another French restaurant with a fantastic vibe and music and sometimes dancing that breaks out!) Sunday involves a walk around Chelsea Market and a stop at the Starbucks Reserve or a bike ride along the Greenway bicycle and walking path – I love to see Manhattan and all the people out along the water!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d have to thank my husband who has been my biggest supporter. He gave up his career to move to MY city (and we’ve relocated again since then for my work). He stepped up to support my children (my ex passed away) and I and he has managed the majority of the household duties. He is my rock – always supportive and listening to me vent after a long day at the office!
