We had the good fortune of connecting with Venkata Sudheer Menta and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Venkata Sudheer, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Myself and my wife started this home baking around March 2022. we didn’t think of it doing it as business at first. We started off baking first cupcakes for our son, who got more cravings for sweets. After that we started offering our friends and neighbors who started liking it . One time we hosted a cupcakes booth at our Son’s school carnival event…..where we were able to sell around 200 out of 220 cupcakes, that gave us a boost to start home baking business.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Baking cakes is not our full time business. We do this as part time. Myself and my wife both go to offices which is a 1 hr commute from home. We both work very hard while working on the cakes, we make sure we deliver the products that we promised to our clients in terms of design, flavors, fillings and pick up times what we agreed for. We always have lot of conversations/arguments between myself and my wife , some times it even gets hectic….but we never give up our baking. Our aim is to let he world knew that we are a passionate bakers who delivers high quality cakes with lots of hard work put into it. We are highly customizable in terms of design and flavors.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would give all credit to my wife Lakshmi Prasanna Menta. She is the one who started off baking cupcakes in the initial period and later I joined to help her with some decorations. She balances both her office and baking work very effectively. She is the person who bakes cakes, makes buttercreams, fillings etc….I later help her with decorating the cake.
