We had the good fortune of connecting with Vanessa nava and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Vanessa, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I want to be big like Huda Beauty, Too faced, Fenty Beuty. So I was in Alibaba.com looking for vendors to star my cosmetic line and I found some, but the shipping was ridiculous. I started to look at my local wholesale vendors and we’ll there’s not that many. I did find that kids stuff is a little cheaper so I started to get kids lip glosses and stuff like that.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I sale anything kids items. I sale kids purses, kids toys, lip gloss, lip balms and anything kids. I started by wanting to sale lip gloss bundles. I started to buy a lot of lip glosses and lip balms and I bought all these items to pare them with the lip glosses. I sold the items but the lip glosses sold, but not as fast as the toys. Getting to where I am today was not easy! A lot of tears and sweat! These pop ups are some time extremely hot. I want the world to know that I’m awesome lol just kidding. That when ever they purchase from my website there’s a lot joy. We all want to be successful to what we do, so each purchase I imagine the happiness that I’m helping the parents bring to their child.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I will take them to all the pop up events out there. Also take them to the Down Town bridge in Dallas to snack while walking with a view. I love crab legs, I will take them to Juicy seafood to eat some yummy crab legs. Also go to Down Town Forthworth Stockyards. For great selfies and pictures we will go to XOXO dinning room, and the rest we will have to google it. Haha.

My Family! My husband, my boys, my sister, Carlos, my niece, mom, dad, and brother.
