We had the good fortune of connecting with Vanessa Goodwin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Vanessa, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
At Coupe Champagne Bar, we believe in more than just offering exquisite champagnes; we champion a vision for social change and community upliftment. Every bottle we serve is a testament to our unwavering commitment to support women-owned vineyards, local artisans, and small international family-owned businesses. Our curated selection, sourced directly from these dedicated growers, provides a unique vineyard-to-table experience for our patrons. By choosing to pour their creations, we not only celebrate the diverse flavors and tales each bottle brings, but we also play a pivotal role in driving economic empowerment, promoting gender equality in the wine industry, and spotlighting the craftsmanship of passionate families from around the world. Our presence in the community is more than just a business; it’s a movement, bridging gaps, breaking barriers, and weaving a fabric of social responsibility one glass at a time. Beyond our collection of champagnes, our ethos of community collaboration extends to the very ambiance of our bar and the experiences we provide. We’ve forged bonds with local purveyors to adorn our space with fresh, locally-sourced flowers and aromatic microgreens, enhancing the sensory experience for our patrons. Additionally, our partnerships with local chefs allow us to curate one-of-a-kind gastronomic adventures, perfectly paired with our select champagnes. Every element of Coupe reflects our dedication to uplift and support the incredible talents within our community, bringing together the best of both worlds – global champagnes and local treasures.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
At Coupe Champagne Bar, my deep-rooted commitment to the community is our defining hallmark. While many establishments might tout their local ties, ours is a bond that goes beyond the superficial – it’s a genuine, reciprocal relationship that benefits both us and the community at large. This ethos doesn’t just set us apart; it propels our growth by nurturing our individual economy. Faced with challenges, we don’t merely seek solutions; we find opportunities. It’s this perspective that has allowed us to become agile, innovating and diversifying our offerings to better cater to the evolving needs of our community. Our journey hasn’t been a walk in the park. There were times when the road seemed uphill, but each obstacle became a stepping stone, teaching me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of staying true to my vision. What fills me with immense pride and excitement is the impact I’ve been able to make and the space I’ve carved out in the industry, thanks to unyielding dedication and the lessons learned en route. Coupe is more than just a brand – it’s a story of passion, perseverance, and an unwavering love for the community. I am a testament to the idea that with the right intentions and indomitable spirit, one can indeed make a meaningful difference.”
