We had the good fortune of connecting with Valincia Bennett and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Valincia, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I remember reaching a point in my corporate career where I was no longer fulfilled and uncertain of my next steps. The idea of climbing the corporate ladder was no longer intriguing to me. So I self-reflected and asked myself what I wanted in my next career. My answer included 4 components: freedom and flexibility, endless creativity, impact the lives of many, and love the work I was doing.

After assessing my skills from being a business director in healthcare, reviewing my personal experiences, and the hobbies I enjoyed, I decided creating a business was the best option for me. I took this information and created a business coaching + consulting company to help other coaches create successful businesses that give them all they want and more.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
People glamorize hustle culture and embrace the idea that good people finish last. I want to change that narrative by elevating coaching businesses. My company, Savvy Method, was created to help business owners prioritize their health and well-being while building a successful, profitable business. As coaches, we pour our all into our clients. I want to ensure their businesses are giving back to them just as much as they put out.

This journey has been far from easy. When you first start there is so much to figure out. It’s not easy when you have so many people selling different solutions and telling you what you should be doing.

When I first started, my company was a full-service business advising firm that had multiple services and created customized proposals for every client. I didn’t have a niche and worked with individuals from various industries. I also had a business partner and we both experienced burnout again, first time was from our careers, which made us reassess our approach. My business partner decided to pursue another path and I gave myself the grace of time to figure things out and decided to focus more on business coaching and strategy.

Even though I was figuring things out with my coaching business, my husband and I celebrated creating a 7-figure portfolio of investments, businesses, and savings. This allowed me to learn the importance of financial freedom and business fundamentals which I wanted to share with my clients.

Through the years of running my business, I decided to niche down to serving coaches. I chose coaches because they all had a moment of transition and transformation in their lives that allow them to share their experiences and skills to help others. I want to elevate the people that are doing good in the world. The more I help them the greater the impact we can have on the lives of others, which was a key component when I decided to become a business owner.

Fast forward to now, I help coaches in business for 1-5 years simplify their systems & strategies so it’s easy to consistently achieve $10K+ months using my signature 5-step program “The Savvy Success Formula”.®️

My 5-step program allows coaches to block out the external noise and work with me to create personalized solutions. They say goodbye to general one size fits all information.

This change in my business sparked the excitement and purpose I was waiting for. I love helping people with beautiful souls hit their revenue goals while changing lives. It doesn’t get any better than that.

I have learned that embracing simplicity in life and business allows us to experience true freedom. My clients call me the Queen of Simple because I can easily break down their overthinking and complex ideas to create something easy to implement that naturally aligns with who they are.

The greatest lesson learned is to experiment often to determine what works best for your business. Never fear failing. Use it as a lesson and find ways to make it better. That is the ongoing cycle of entrepreneurship. You get to keep innovating.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
When you live in the DFW area, it is so easy to get comfortable in your little bubble. What I mean is that each city in DFW has everything you need and more. So we spend most of our time in the Alliance area which is North Fort Worth.

I would recommend having lunch or dinner at Towne Grill and Hanabi Hibachi and Sushi in Alliance, Pappadeaux’s in Grapevine, and Tupelo Honey in Frisco.

There is also a great Asian restaurant Green Tea House that I love to visit in Alliance from time to time for lunch.

There are plenty of fun things we would do – go to Main Event in Alliance, Andretti Indoor Karting and Games and Immersive Gamebox in The Colony, and Southlake Townsquare and Alliance Town Center for shopping, and Moviehouse & Eatery by Cinépolis in Keller.

To get pampered, we would visit Be A Doll Salon in Arlington. They have amazing hair stylists for naturally curly hair.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and foremost, I have to acknowledge my lord and savor for being my strength and giving me peace and unconditional love.

I want to give a shout-out to my husband. I’m where I am today because of him. He continues to see my worth more than I see it within myself. He exudes confidence and that rubs off on me every day. If you thought Kobe Bryant was confident, you haven’t met my husband. We operate on the same page and make important life decisions as a collective. His belief in my vision and supporting me to becoming an entrepreneur gave me the courage to move forward to follow my dreams. I’m so blessed that we found each other. Love you honey!

I also want to shout out my parents and in-laws. The love I receive from my parents is unbelievable. I feel their love even though we live miles away. They support all of my decisions and encourage me so much. My mother and father tell everyone they know. that I own a business. That’s true love and support. My mother-in-law and father-in-law are my second set of parents. Their love and support are abundant.

My big brother drove me crazy as a child, but his push for me to be independent and figure it out on my own made me who I am today. He always knew I could do anything I put my mind to and he wanted to make sure I never gave up trying.

Last and certainly not least, I want to acknowledge my family, friends, and the amazing people I met throughout my life that believed in me. The encouraging words you will be a CEO one day and you will change the lives of many stayed with me. Them seeing the difference I can make in the world allowed me to build confidence within myself.
