We had the good fortune of connecting with Up2Something Media and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Up2Something, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Being passionate about our craft and genuinely loving what we do as a brand. Bringing a different energy and showcasing creatives in the city. Just knowing how much talent DFW has, we want to show recognition to creatives that are just as passionate as we are.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Prove that Dallas is a scene worth looking into. We can most definitely become a huge hub for creatives. We showcase that our platforms for creatives to promote and speak on the inspirations, speak their mind.

Accountability and dropping our egos at the door is the way we learned as a unit.

If 4 scoundrels in a group chat can start a podcast, then turned into a business, anything is possible.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
You can’t go wrong enjoying an old fashion at uptowns very own Bowen House. For a great view and happy hour visit Sky Blossom. Then just across the street for more great food and entertainment at the heart of the city go to AT&T Discovery Park. To catch some good Mexican Cuisine, Jose’s off Lover Lane. The end to the night off with good music and drinks, visit Atlas in Bishop Arts .

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Our mission statement was to always put the city on the map, and the city retuned the favor by putting us on. We wouldn’t be in the position we are in currently if it wasn’t for the shows we’ve hosted such as The Pop-Up, Carne Asada Fest, Centro Popular, just to name a few.

The love we constantly get from our supporters tuning the podcast every week. The support always make us want to create more. The mentorship of our good friend Larry Gee (aka Cabus) for guiding us to a the path we are on.

Last but not least our amazing team at Up2Something, Rene, Diego, Daniel, Shahmir, Alonzo, Tyler, and Gabi. We are more than a team, we are a family or whatever Vin Diesel said. We continue to be grateful and cherish all the opportunities we have been blessed with.
