We had the good fortune of connecting with Un! and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Un!, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important thing to being successful in anything is believing that you can achieve success as well as being happy about what your doing. If you not happy with your craft it’s prolly not it.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m a Mesquite, Tx based artist. I make music for the lonely stoners. The people that have a whole universe in there head to get away from reality. I started out just writing and I wouldn’t tell anyone. It came very easily to me but I felt like I was hella to myself that my music wouldn’t resonate. I remember recording a verse in my latter years of high school and saying I would just do it for myself.

When I graduated I went to support my friend and it ended up being a VIBESTEXAS event. At the time my friends were pushing me to take it more serious and I ended up taking a dare to talk to the curator. It’s been about 4 years since and music has only begin to swell everywhere for me. I now curate my own events as well as run a collective called Anomaly Project. We really just want people to see that every person is one person. You’re affect on the world completely depends on you.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If someone is my best friend then they might under that I barely go anywhere. I’d definitely take them to Creators Don’t Die (Performance Venue) and Trees (Venue) maybe Pappadeaux’’s. They food really smacks. Also Royal Lane Studios.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My dope engineer Elitzar and my good friends Zeus Amaru and Yae. They deal with my sporadic mind and my random way of processing life.
