Meet Tyler Malone

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tyler Malone and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tyler, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
“The impediment to action advances action. What stands in the way becomes the way.” – Marcus Aurelius. This powerful quote has transformed my perspective on life. At times, we find ourselves staring down the barrel of seemingly insurmountable challenges, feeling overwhelmed and defeated. But when we embrace the notion that the challenge itself is the journey, and that the journey is, in fact, the destination, we unlock the ability to achieve the seemingly impossible. This quote has been a game-changer in my life. It taught me to view each obstacle as a valuable opportunity for growth and self-improvement. Setbacks are now stepping stones, propelling me towards greater achievements. And as a result, every triumph feels all the more exhilarating and rewarding.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Throughout my career as a real estate agent, my unique perspective has set me apart from others in the field. As someone who uses a wheelchair and has played wheelchair basketball at the international level, I have developed incredible determination and a strong understanding of the importance of accessibility in real estate. This experience, combined with my background in psychology and business, allows me to truly understand people and their needs when it comes to buying or selling a property.

One of the things I’m most proud of is my ability to make a difference in people’s lives through my work. My passion for serving others led me to volunteer as a wheelchair basketball coach, and it also drives me to go above and beyond for my clients in the real estate industry. I strive to ensure that every transaction is as smooth and stress-free as possible, always putting my clients’ needs first.

My journey to where I am today professionally hasn’t always been easy. I have faced various challenges, but I’ve learned to never give up on something I believe in. Through persistence, hard work, and a genuine desire to help others, I have overcome obstacles and built the foundation for a successful career.

Some key lessons I’ve learned along the way include the importance of clear communication, active listening, and building strong relationships with clients. I’ve also discovered the value of staying up-to-date with market trends, technology, and evolving consumer needs.

I want the world to know that my brand and story are centered around a deep commitment to helping others achieve their dreams. I’m dedicated to creating a positive impact in the lives of my clients and the community, making the real estate experience accessible, enjoyable, and rewarding for everyone involved.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Fort Worth – Fort Worth botanical garden is beautiful, also the Modern art museum is worth seeing at least once, a sporting event at Dickey’s Arena is always a good time, I love supporting local food trucks- my favorite in Fort Worth is Chile Pepper Grille, Margaritas from Joe T. Garcia’s, Velvet Taco, or Chuy’s, then go hang out at any of the bars on or near 7th street.

Toyota Music factory in Irving is a great spot for food and fun with friends.

Mesquite Pit in Weatherford is my favorite place to go for Steaks.

The best BBQ in Texas is Hurtado BBQ in Arlington

In Dallas I love the Perot Museum, a game of chess at Klyde Warren park, sushi from Nobu, and a concert at Southside Ballroom.

Trader’s village in Grand Prairie for some shopping deals (if its not too hot outside)

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I grew up playing wheelchair basketball for the Dallas Jr. Wheelchair Mavericks, and I have now returned to coach the team as an adult. I learned so much playing for the Jr. Mavs about independence, comraderie, and leadership. All of my coaches over the years were volunteers. The countless hours they chose to spend coaching helped shape me into who I am today. The Dallas Jr. Mavs operate as a nonprofit and rely on charitable donations. Their mission is to offer a competitive and recreational atmosphere in which children with disabilities can have a happier and healthier lifestyle.
