We had the good fortune of connecting with Tyler Jefferson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tyler, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Walking With Legends was born 2 years ago in 2020 while I was driving one day at work. The idea sparked from me knowing that I have a greater purpose in life. Of course I wasn’t for sure what that was at first but I knew it had to be something different from working for somebody I don’t personally know. So I decided to start writing down my identity, goals, and visions on paper and when I tell you that was one of the best moves I could ever make in my life for myself. It allowed me to get it out of my head and manifest it and be more proactive with moving forward. Seeing “WHO I AM” on paper allowed me to realize that I love LIFE and that I’m grateful for every breath that God gives me and I know that I’m here to help people find and motivate them towards their purpose. With so much negativity and evil in the world my vision is to create an alternate world of positivity and fun to allow people to take themselves away from the stress, anxiety, hate and depression that the world caters to. Walking With Legends represents LIFE~LOVE~RESPECT~EQUALITY. Which is how I live my everyday life. Life is short and precious and nobody has a notice when their time is. So I have created a movement to spread love and build a platform for us to smell our flowers while we’re still here.

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
I’m just pushing for the world to be a better place. My growth on a personal and business level is what I’m most proud of and my limitless progression is what I’m excited to reveal to the world. I got here by faith, focus, sacrifice, discipline, consistency, grinding and of course support. No it wasn’t easy but I was told “If it was easy everybody would be doing it”. I’ve always had the mindset that once I have a vision I’m going to go for it no matter how unrealistic it sounds. Some lessons I’ve learned is to never give up no matter who doubts you and stay positive regardless of how negative the situation looks. That’s a good question, I would say that me believing in my brand is a big reason of how I got here. So if your out there paying attention to this interview, if you have something on your heart that you want to do just start by believing in yourself.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
So honestly I have turned into a homebody over time lol. I will say I do love to eat so a go to for me is Ebb and Flow the vibe is perfect for a sit down, eat and talk and the food is definitely fulfilling. Also you can’t go wrong with Fuel City tacos I know that’s a go to for anybody in the area. As far as entertainment I usually keep it simple with just going to a movie or bowling or skating.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Well I will start off by giving the biggest shoutout to God because he deserves every ounce of Love, Respect and Praise. I have been blessed to see July 21st 2022. I have lived so much life and I keep my prayers strong that I can continue to see more life and grace this world with all of my positivity in physical form. So I want to Thank God for life. My next shoutout would be to myself Tyler Louis Jefferson, because I owe it to myself for making it through my experiences and overcoming all of the obstacles that have been put in my way to self destruct. Which has helped build morals, character and the man I am today. I want to Thank my mother and father Sue and Walter Watie. They sacrificed so much by raising 5 beautiful kids into the Adults we are today. I want them to know that they did a great job. I love y’all so much. My grandmother Linda Johnson deserves her flowers while she’s still here too I love you so much. I want to personally thank my team for helping me build WWL from scratch. Karen, Lezlie and Neil I’m so grateful for y’all. I can’t let it go unnoticed my family, my sisters Cretia, Itale and Faythe and some very supportive friends deserve thanks. Thank you Louis, Sam, Lynnae, Tuffy, Tay, Chrishayna, Reggie, Courtney, Cletis, Alexus and anybody who has ever showed love and support towards WWL in any form or fashion. I want to thank every last one of y’all.
