We had the good fortune of connecting with Troy Hines and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Troy, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
I’m inspired by success stories. Hearing about someone coming from a similar background as myself & achieving their goals is super inspiring!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My full time gig is ups, which would explain the muscles. All jokes aside it’s a very physical demanding job, but I enjoy it. I also do photography, fitness, and will be enrolling in acting classes this summer. The main goal has always been becoming an actor. It’s been my dream since I was a kid & everything I’ve done from this point was to make that dream a reality! My reason for joining the gym was to look like I belonged in Hollywood. Here we are three years later and I’m super satisfied with the results so far. However this is only the beginning & we still have much more work to do.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We’d definitely have to hit up one of the steakhouses. Those never disappoint & a professional sports game live afterwards would be the icing on the cake. I think it’s important to embrace the culture of cities while visiting so some of the historic landmarks would definitely be on the to do list.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We’d be here all day If I was to go down the list of people, books, and interviews who’ve helped or inspired me along the way. I’d definitely like to shoutout my amazing mother who’s super supportive of anything I do. She genuinely believes in me & I can’t wait to buy her a house with her dream car parked in the garage. Also my three brother! My youngest brother Michael, who is a real estate agent is also my personal photographer. One more person that I would like to give a shoutout to is my good friend Briana Zalamar. She’s the one responsible for helping me get my first voyage magazine interview. There’s so many more I could name, but I’ll save that for another interview.
